I use a wonderful CPA on the west side named Steve Hausfeld. I make far less than 500 k and do independent contracting and have an online business, and he does great work for me. If you would like his contact info, I'll find it for you.

Turbo tax walks you through all of those situations. The bigger problem you are going to run into is making sure you are documenting every single expense to deduct just in case the IRS comes a knocking.

I also had a lot of complicated live circumstances and tried to find a CPA. Talked to an accountant friend of mine who said most CPA's aren't really looking to help any individual with less than 500 k or so of annual income. It's just not worth their time, and as she also told me - turbo tax or any other quality tax software program can do just as well as a CPA at less than half the cost.

I have a CPA friend that does my taxes, as well as several friends of mine. He has done them for the past several years. It's just a side job for him during tax season. PM if you'd like his email.

I was happy with the service and the price I received last year at Hurst, Kelly, & Co CPAs. Here's their site: http://www.hurstkelly.com/. They are located in the Loveland/Landen area.

I have used Hartlaub Tax Agency for years. They just changed hands, but have done a nice job for me the last go around. I have several properties that have to be accounted for and some contracting work. It has gone fairly smoothly.

Dude, I paid a guy $100 to do mine for a few years, then realized I was just getting ripped off. He was sitting there just filling in the blanks in QuickBooks. I use taxact.com
