Let's talk locksmiths--I would like a truly local locksmith, if possible--it seems that each time I look for one, they are some "dispatched" service from an 800 number...

Sheri Brown, in reading several forums on the Ford Focus, many people did go to their mechanic and it was a much larger ordeal than it needed to be and had better luck with a locksmith. I trust my mechanic, he's here in Covington, but we'll go this route first. They were VERY familiar with my issue at Munday, so that tells me something.

Acme Lock is the best! They are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They have state of the art equipment so that your car and locks will be protected. People who don't so this regularly and "give it a try" often damage things so stick with a pro.

April Marie Huffman, my year is the same. Apparently, it's "common" and that Ford decided it wasn't worth a recall. I cannot tell you how many other craptastic things have gone wrong with this car. I miss my Honda. I would never buy Ford again.

Just called them--I knew what you (and your phone) meant, James--nice guys, calling me back with a price! Jamie Owen, have done that over and over. It's now stuck permanently. Almost stranded my husband and my daughter downtown Cincinnati at the water park. We've tried it all and it's REALLY stuck.
I'm looking for a locksmith. Any of you Cincinnatians have suggestions?

Ann Weber wins the award for the most helpful comment. Jennifer Wegman Smith wins for the most clever comment. CJ Dates holds the title of best comment with a cultural reference. Dennis W. Hibbard takes home the comedy trophy. Peter Wimberg gets the "fastest response" award...and I have found that giving out awards for comments is a whole new way for me to waste time on Facebook.
