I live right outside Kenwood. I had been living at my parent's in Indiana and was driving over an hour for pain management and physical therapy. I went where Dr. Schorry said was the best. I now have my insurance company working on approving an out of network eye doctor due to my eyes being so screwy. I love my orthopedist Dr. Argo. He was the one that sent me to Schorry. I have other doctors too.
Mindy M. replied:
Linn, is that associated with Dr.Brad Tinkle?
Amanda M. replied:
I'm seeing Dr. Shorry (sp?) November 3 rd at Cincinnati children's
Grace B. replied:
Amanda Michelle I love Dr. Schorry.
Linn A. replied:
Cincinnati Childrens has a great connective tissue disorders clinic. They can refer you to good drs.. Also lf you look at www.ednf.org they might have the list of drs.
John M. replied:
Check with Jodi at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Genetics Department.
Melissa S. replied:
Oh - my neurosurgeon is Dr. Christopher McPherson of Mayfield Neurological. He is well-versed in EDS.
Grace B. replied:
Amanda Michelle definitely. What area of town are you on
Michael N. replied:
Dr. Henrickson at Cincinnati Children's is a great rheumatologist! He stayed in the room with my son for 4 1/2 hours! He gave him his complete attention and set us up with referrals for the doctors we needed to be with, which was the EDS clinic.
I find it very frustrating that I can't get an mri approved with my medical insurance the letter states that it must be medically necessary in order for me to receive...
Ashley W. replied:
Mk Groebel, do you have to have a referral
MK G. replied:
Good luck...keep fighting for the right Dr! Have you tried getting an appt at the Waddell center for Multiple Sclerosis: 234 Goodman St Cincinnati phone # 866-941-8264
Linda J. replied:
It would be a drive. Cleveland Clinic Mellen Center. I go there. In my opinion, best doctors in the world!
Sharon G. replied:
These Health Maintenance Organizations just mess things up if you ask me. Created to stem the costs of medical procedures and all they do is get in the way. They make testing more complicated and often times don't get the correct tests done because some doctor on their panel says no.
Linda J. replied:
No. You can make your own appoitment. I see Dr. Robert Bermel and Dr . Francois Bethouix for my spasms. The main number Is 1 800 223 2273 and ask to be connected to the Mellen Center app. desk. You would just need to bring your medical records and what testing you had done. There are several hotels by the clinic and on the hospital campus. People come from all around the world here. I see my drs at least. 90 minutes each!!! I hope this helps.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a neurologist?
Paul B. replied:
Dr Gilbert - Cincinnati Children's http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/bio/g/donald-gilbert/ We love this guy
Maria P. replied:
Just today I was seeing my physician about migraines, and he said that a neurologist recently started working in his office and that she's a specialist in migraines. So not sure what you are looking for one for, but her name is Dr. Contractor, and she is in the Mercy Health building off Marie Ct right by Bridgetown Middle School.
Any of the AKA parents out there have any recommendations for Neurologist out of Cincinnati Children's Hospital?
Nicole M. replied:
We see Dr. Mary Sutton. Started with Neuro-oncology with Dr. Maryam Fouladi...one of the top in the country, but transferred to Dr. Mary Sutton in Neurology upon recommendation. LOVE her.
Gina L. replied:
Mike feel free to connect with Marcia Kirchhofer (she is fine with that). She and hubby Gary are friends and they see Dr Arthur for their daughter. Feel free to friend her, she has lots of info!
Gary L. replied:
We have been seeing Dr Franz for about 6-8 years - would highly recommend, great guy and great with our daughter. Her seizures have been SO much more under control under his care.
Julie B. replied:
Dr. Franz is absolutely terrific! Neurology is the only specialty we haven't moved from Dayton to Cinci so I am not sure if he is still seeing patients regularly like he was. He is one of the absolute best though!
Does anyone know of a Neurologist with expertise of Chiari in Ohio? I live in-between Dayton and Toledo. So preferably in those areas or Columbus. I had my 3rd...

We live in Bryan Ohio about an hour west of Toledo and my daughter is 9 and Dr. Luciano from the Cleveland CLinic did her surgery when she was 4. Great Dr and we really like him a lot.
Terri W. replied:
The lady that does the Chiari walk recommended Dr. Luciano at the Cleveland Clinic to me . She is very picky and really likes this doc .
Pamela K. replied:
Yes I did try The Mayfield Chiari Center. They said since I'm not a surgery candidate being that I just had one last December there was nothing they could do for me.. I wish I would've went to them initially because it sounds like they have a great aftercare for their patients.
Evelyn C. replied:
We also se Nuerology at the Cleveland Clinic. My daughter see Dr, Moodley and we really like him to. But if you call and talk to Dr. Luciano asst. maybe they can refer you to a good Nuero dr at the CLinic.

Karla P. replied:
Dr. Noorani is very nice, I just feel like he is not listening to his problem. IDK...It is just so frustrating when u know something is not right but they can't find what it is....ugh

we've followed developmental peds since Aubrey was 18 mths. They've been good but we just see them every year now. She has a Psych in Sidney that does her meds now. I''ve not been overly impressed with Dr. G. Kumar Colista Baker Rogers. After our conference and in light of information shared I beleive a second opinion is warrented. Just don't want to pick blindly .
Beth R. replied:
Bella saw Dr. Bierbrauer at CinCi and she was wonderful. My friends daughter goes to Columbus and they are happy there too.
Robin I. replied:
