anyone in the Cincinnati area have an optometrist they love & recommend?
Lori B. replied:
When Tiffy was little she went to an eye doctor that was recommended through Fairfield Schools. At the time we did not have insurance and Tiffy needed glasses. He covered the cost of her eye exam and glasses through a program in the school. In any case he really was very kind and did a great job with her. His office is located at 574 Symmes Rd. right by the church. I googled him ( it has been 10 years since we were there with her, she was about Sara's age at the time) and his name is Richard S. Jackson863-8847. I believe at the time he worked with a lot of elementary kids through Fairfield Schools. http://visionsource-richardjacksonod.com/
Kendra W. replied:
Dr. Michelle Staarmann on Mack Rd. She is good with kids and adults. Office staff is nice. And her husband sees patients too, but she examines the kids. Number is 874-1718. They have evening hours and some Saturday hours.
Andrea Y. replied:
Dr Fox at Apex Eye on Tylersville Rd. She's wonderful with children and absolutely no pressure to buy anything. I managed an optical office and Jerry was an optician for years so we know good when we see it, and she's great. As a mom she isn't there everyday but her partners are good too if you have an emergency. When glasses are needed I take the Rx to Sears on Colerain Ave because I'm super picky about the quality, price, and knowledge of the opticians on staff -- they have a good balance of all 3. Apex has good opticians & quality but their prices are high for glasses.
Sara C. replied:
Dr. Winterbottom at Wing Eyecare on the west side of Hamilton.
Jeanette R. replied:
Wing Eyecare is best for optometrist, but I don't like their glasses, they seem to fall apart quickly.

Any suggestions for pediatric optometrists? I live in Hebron and work in Crestview Hills, so the closer to one of those areas, the better. My son is 2.
Erica S. replied:
Amber Masters I went through that with our son. His eyes turned in. They said he had lazy eyes, with that said he is 11 now and he's had 2 surgeries one at 3 and they other at 9. Berri Eye Care, Dr Bernard. Quick easy visits that don't leave you blind for the rest of the day. I used to go to Thoma and liked him but everything about the eye exam process at Berri Eye Care seems easier and more personal to me. And Starbucks is a few doors down:-)

My nephews went to Connie West at Cincinnati Children's, also an ophthalmologist. She was hard to get into. Dr. North went to the Fairfield location.
