Hi Susan -- feel free to call me at my parish office # at 745-1908 to let me know more of what you might be looking for, where the school is located, etc. I'd be glad to hear more about the project -- a great opportunity for the students! There are some great environmental groups around that can connect an outreach project with age/grade-appropriate basic science lessons too.

Thanks all-- I'm looking to get my boys and possibly our moms group involved in something --- maybe making snacks for Ronald McDonald house, cards/ letters... Wanting to see if anyone had any ideas for something 4, 5,6,7 year olds could go and DO, so it means a little more to them....

The Interfaith Hospitality Network which Bellarmine participates in is a possible outlet for families. Our parishioners provide dinner and games/crafts a couple nights during the 3 or 4 weeks of hosting during the year. Jeff Campbell can tell you more. Or Kathy Aerni.

You can go to the Ronald McDonald House website and they have suggestions for ways to volunteer. Same with Cincinnati Children's website. One activity that they have at the Ronald McDonald House is hosting an ice cream social for the residents. My daughter's Girl Scout troop did this and it was a lot of fun.
