So, I've been trying to find a local personal trainer. I've called 2 of the most well known gyms in town and no response from either. Also have sent online...

You should call Mike at The Powerstation Gym, It looks like hole in the wall from the outside, but, it is a no nonsense gym, not a meat market. There's a personal trainer there that Halle used for a while before we moved. Her name is Amy Sibcy. She's awesome. Mike doesn't make you sign a contract. If you don't like, you don't go back. Amy's services and prices are separate, though. 1821 S University Blvd; Phone (513) 423-9514
Personal Trainer Recommendations Hey,
I was wondering if anyone had any personal trainer recommendations for the area. I'm looking to lose a significant amount of weight...

http://thecincinnatigym.com/cincinnati-personal-trainer/ The owner Pat is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable with nutrition and training, so I would recommend this. They'll give you training to make it a lifestyle and last a lifetime so you can carry on what you learn into your own time and not just stay dependent on a personal trainer like corporate gyms might do.

[Peakfast Fitness](http://www.nkyfitness.com/)in Crescent Springs, KY, took like 15 minutes to get there from Mount Adams and Ryan was awesome. Has team training and personal training and also helps with nutrition as well. First time I was able to actually start committing to fitness and change my life.

honestly, save your money from what you would spend on a personal trainer and spend it on workout supplements and healthier organic foods. You can learn plenty of workout routines and meal plans from bodybuilding.com or youtube. Another good source of information is just to go to the gym and watch people work out. Find that alpha person and watch what they do for a few weeks. Also doesn't hurt to just chat people up in the gym because they will generally be happy to share their routines and experience with you or give you honest critique about your form. about 75-80% of getting significant results from the gym is from nutrition alone and the other 20% from exercise. Not trying to say a PT isn't worth it if you have excess money, but its not really affordable and if you don't have motivation to do it on your own then why would you throw away hundreds of dollars to workout at the place you already pay to workout. If you aren't interested in building muscle at the gym and just want to lose weight then eat at a calorie deficit and sweat your ass off doing anything from high intensity cardio, to biking, to hiking, etc....
