Folks I need a family physician. I love Grantham. But you can’t get in to see him when you are sick. Could someone recommend a Clinton Dr that you can get in to see in...
Debra W. replied:

JMO, I sat at the Baptist office at the Healthplex for almost 2 hrs. Never again. I saw one of the NPs and went back for a check-up...2.5 hrs was a joke. Walked out.
James S. replied:
I know you said Clinton but I have to shamelessly plug the best doctor I've ever had. Dr. Vanderloo at https://www.facebook.com/559321567548053 NewCare MD is by far the best I've ever had. In office prescriptions at cost, you can call him or text him ( thru a secure healthcare app) and it's actually him responding. 10/10
Dennis R. replied:
Have to agree with Tonya, Dr. Nohra is great. Dr. Wheat is a good guy but the office staff WILL NOT let you see him without a prior appointment. Because we all know a few weeks ahead of time that we’re going to be sick.
Nina P. replied:
Try the Baptist medical clinic in Clinton. They take appointments. I use the one in Byram and can usually get in to see Dr. Harris the same day I call. I love this clinic!
Nancy D. replied:
Merit health care! Dr. Scott or Joanna!! The best!
Fran W. replied:
I see Dr. Nohra listed on here a lot. She was recommended to me when I moved here and I do like her. But I've been twice and both times it was 2 hours AFTER my appointment time before I even laid eyes on her. Most of it spent in the waiting room watching every other person and about ten that arrived after me all get called back. What gives?
Frances P. replied:
Dr. Grantham at MEA only sees patients by appointments now....
Adam B. replied:
I was extremely happy with dr. Wheat at Clinton family care. I can’t imagine what it would be like to drive to Madison with a fever. Sorry James.
Whitney Z. replied:
Dr. Arturo Blanco with St. Dominic is super cool! I’ve never met his nurse practitioner personally, but I know folks who really like her.

Rodney C. replied:
Pat I was in the same situation you were I loved Dr. Grantham but could never get in to see him . He recommended that I get an internal medicine doctor that can refer you to specialist if needed but can keep an eye on your overall health. I started using Dr. Eric Evans and all my family uses him. If you have something that does not require an narcotic to be prescribed then you can call him and give home the symptoms and he will call you in the medicine. This has worked great for my family.
Julie W. replied:
I love Dr. Nohra at the Baptist Medical Clinic. Never had a problem getting an appointment and getting in pretty quickly.

Dr. Jim House by far is the best! He did surgery on my ears quite some years back and I DO MEAN HE IS GOOD! Last I heard he is at Saint D. I now wear hearing aids because I finally needed them. When he did my surgery And when I woke up I could hear and never got sick not one time!
I need a local physician. I'm sick.... But I'd rather go see someone who can also prescribe my inhaler, cholesterol screenings, etc. Any recommendations?

Allen S. replied:
I am not against any of the other physicians listed here. What I do know for a fact is when I go to Dr. Wheats clinic, he is the only Dr. I see, ever. I also know his clinic does lots of blood work, xrays, etc.. in house. so I do not have to set up an appointment at a different office on another day. Because he is not affiliated with any hospital group I can go to any Dr. I chose for more advanced care, not just a company Dr. like Baptist, CMMC, or St. D clinic have you do.
Kevin C. replied:
I second the recommendation for Dr. Wheat. Very nice person and a good doctor.

Is there a Pediatric Clinic in Clinton that will take Walk-ins? We recently moved here and have not found a pediatrician yet- but my youngest child needs to see a doctor...
Jacquelyn R. replied:
It's not in Clinton, but the drive isn't far. We go to Batson North Clinic and we see Dr Brooks. Inbox me if you want her info. We can usually get in the same afternoon, and if not, they have residents that see patients and are overseen by the Drs, and I always request Dr Brooks.
Ashley A. replied:
I'm not sure about any "walk-in" clinics but ALL of the doctors at Children's Medical Group on Hwy 80 close to Clinton-Raymond Rd are great! I'm 21, my older brother is 23, and my little brother is 11 and we have all seen Dr. Russell! Wish I could still go to him.
Paula A. replied:
I take my 2 granddaughters to Children's Medical Clinic....Dr.Shepard and Dr.Russell are awesome
Anna M. replied:
We use Children's Medical Group and we love it. They don't take walk-ins but I have always been able to get a same day appointment when needed. I've also never sat in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. They're open 7 days a week and have after hours clinic as well. I can't tell you how many times I've been able to call our nurse and get the the help I need right over the phone. My son, who is usually very nervous about strangers, loves Dr. Russell!
Tonya C. replied:
Dr. Joe Russell at Children's Medical Group, definitely!!
Kacie B. replied:

Evelyn F. replied:
I have seen Dr. Elizabeth Trice (did a surgery on my foot; wasn't the best). I am now see Dr. Robert Woodroof (pretty good so far). The sleeves didn't work for me.
I went to Dr Lawin. Did PT. Use profoot insoles and foot rocker stretcher. I rarely have issues now unless I wear flip flops for an extended amount of time or I run in my Crossfit shoes that are flat.
Helen W. replied:
Terry Ables, owner of T. Ables shoe store is wonderful with fitting the right inserts and shoes for this issue.
Sue H. replied:
When I broke my foot I found that Hoka shoes worked best for me -- the zero gravity ones. Dr. Lawin's office had given me a sheet with recommendations for type. -- different brands, models, etc. I went to Fleet Feet and found the ones I bought after talking to staff there. They said these were the key be a lot of their customers who walk or run regularly and in half marathons etc. bought. You can get them in dark leather or in more sporty models. I think the important thing is that they are zero gravity because it gives you maximum support. Also - you can stand on s wood triangle to stretch out your calves and freeze a bottle of water and roll your foot over it. Those things help too. The Baptist Healthplex has one of these triangles for members to use as part of their stretching exercises. You can buy them at the physical therapy area if MS Sports Medicine or get someone to make you one -- I think it is a 45 degree angle.
Nancy P. replied:
There are Dr. Scholl's inserts, which helped me. I also rolled my foot back and forth over a soup can every chance I got. It took a few months, but it finally went away. Good luck!
