I have used Big Thicket for years. One location is in Cleveland and another in New Caney. I know it is quite a ways to go but like I said used them for many years. First time I went with one of my dogs, she was 7 weeks old and last trip I made with her was to have her euthanized at age 15 years and 4 months. They have always been good with my pets.

Healthy Pets USA is where I go for shots, deworming and heartworm testing. They also give a basic exam like looking in their ears and teeth. My regular vet is Dr. Pat with Animal Hospital of Conroe and she and her staff have been wonderful with my pets for the last 15 years. I've also heard Corner Vet is pretty cheap for basic exams and shots.

Dr. Lipkke at Lake country animal hospital across from April Sound on 105. He was wonderful with our cat and saved his life after he was pulled off our screened in porch and attacked by an evil Pit bull (no not all are evil but this one seriously had s omething wrong with it so don't bash me for saying that!) first dr wanted to put him down but dr Lipkke saw his will to survive and saved him. He's 3 legged now but completely back to normal!

I don't know one in Conroe or Willis but Dr. Michelle Lund at Vista in Montgomery is exactly what you are looking for. She always starts at the bottom and works her way up. She appreciates owners who research and discuss things with her. Instead of goi ng for expensive diagnostic testing she'll start with the least possible diagnosis and treatment then work from there. I've been with her for 10 years, she's seen all of our animals and she is by far the best.

Meagan I don't understand why you would want to make negative comments on other clinics..there are many great vets in our area, we all are just giving our opinion on who we use for our fur babies. No reason to be negative. Stone Ridge is an amazing cli nic and has very knowledgeable staff that have been working there for many years. Very dedicated staff. Dr. Pettyjohn is very honest and works with clients. Dr. Lewis works at both Stone Ridge and Tender Pawz, and Dr. Hay is just as great! As I am sure other vets in our area are..we are blessed to have such awesome veterinary medicine!

We use Kainer. He's been our vet for 22 years (when he was right out of vet school and was at Pineland Animal Hospital which is now Best Friends on I-45). His staff is wonderful. Dr. Kainer and Dr. Stroecker (? spelling) have been so good to us over the years. I had to take a client's dog to Animal Clinics of The Woodlands and was very impressed that they were doing stem cell therapy, etc. There is a clinic in Conroe that is doing holistic medicine on pets if that is something you might like. I can give you a name. Two of my clients use them.
