Critter Fixer on Louetta and TC Jester.
Susan R. replied:
Would not recommend BARC or any animal control shelter for vaccines. They are cheap because the vaccines they will be using will be from generic manufacturers and not likely with smooth adjuvants in the vaccine. Critter Fixer has low cost vaccination days on Sat. and Sunday. Dr. Rodgers was one of the most vocal advocates for safety in vaccines.

Dr. Osborne at Champions Vet on Spring Cypress near 249. My 15 wk old Shih Tzu got in fire ants really bad two days ago and they were nothing but the best to her and us. I've never felt so comfortable with a vet before. We had to leave her for the day due to an allergic reaction and he called and updated is regularly until she was stable to come home. They are very reasonably priced too!

Liv S. replied:
I have heard multiple times that garlic is toxic for dogs, but also found many sites like this, where people in holistic approach explain why garlic is good for our friends... I do not feed into every meal, but always add few cloves when cooking dog meal batch for few days... http://ottawavalleydogwhisperer.blogspot.ca/2012/06/garlic-for-dogs-health-benefits.html
Jen N. replied:
I was staying away from garlic alwas hearing it was toxic, then like you, found holistic sites saying it was safe. Then my dog got fleas and I read about it helping with that so I gave him some at the height of the problem. Then I saw it was the longterm or high dosage that could hurt, so I stopped as soon as the fleas did. I also saw neem is good for fleas and I found a product called, "All Natural Insect Repellent and Healing Solution" that I sprayed on him when we went into tick country and he didn't get any. It's all essential oils in apple cider vinegar. You can find it at www.tri-animals.com
Anyone recommend a vet off or around 1488/2978 areas?
Amy R. replied:
I take my great dane to FM 1488 Animal Medical Center. I have seen a few different vets there and I like them all. The staff is wonderful to deal with too. They have never pushed treatments for Walter. They present everything and let me choose without making me feel like I'm making a bad decision. The number is 281-259-8806.
