We did it! We used Town Center Floors and highly recommend them! We too had been told that we couldn't do it and would need to replace. TCF told use they could do it and it saved us substantial amount of $$! You can only refinish once and can only stain darker, can't go lighter. They even hand scraped it and it looks fabulous!!!! Looks like a totally different floor!
