Chicago Pizza in Las Colinas.
Rita B. replied:
Parma, which I love, is not Chicago pizza. Uno in Fort Worth or Boston Pizza in Valley Ranch by Kohls is good but expensive.

Bavarian Grill!!
Jennifer H. replied:
Yup. Kuby's and Bavarian Grill. Both are excellent. Henk's (http://www.henksblackforestbakery.com) is another good choice.
Amanda W. replied:
Bavarian Grill is our favorite; plan a long evening though. There is usually a wait and the food takes a long time to come out. Their bread is fabulous and the food is good. Pass on the desserts (they look better than they taste). Kuby's: we weren't a fan. We ordered many different things with a large party and were disappointed all around. Big disappointment. Little Germany in Fort Worth: a bit of a hole in the wall. Sauerkraut is homemade and fresh; sausages are good. I'm on the fence about this place. Definitely worth trying out though. Edelweiss: definitely will be checking that out this week. Not sure how I missed it.
Steve H. replied:
Edelweiss German in Ft Worth. Long drive but best German food in DFW. We have eaten there for 30 years.

Old Hickory Steak House at the Gaylord Texan Resort. I know it's out of Coppell but absolutely awesome!

If you don't mind going to Plano (20 minute drive), Steve Fields Steak and Lobster Lounge is fantastic! You can book on open table and tell them your special occasion and they bring you a tasty surprise at the end if the meal. Neve had a bag dinner there. Lobster bisque is my favorite (and I'm from the east coast).
Amanda S. replied:
Oh, Steve Fields is amazing!
Rita B. replied:
If you want to stay in Coppell on a Sunday, try Simmer or J Macklins or Black Walnut. Otherwise Winewood in Grapevine has a good steak.
Are there any Coppell restaurants with patios that are dog-friendly? Simmer? Carmel? Esparza's? ??
Sondra P. replied:
I would love love a place in Coppell but here are some spots I thought about checking out soon. None close, but options http://www.bringfido.com/restaurant/city/dallas_tx_us/
Marvie N. replied:
I know it's not close but pretty much every place in Denton lets you bring your pup in the patios. Some bars let you bring them at night as well, and they even have bowls of water for them. In downtown there's also a place called Mutts Cantina where you can sit and relax on a patio/dog park and eat or have some drinks. Also, The Lot has a side for kids where the parents can eat and have drinks on the patio while watching their kids play on the sandbox playground and the other side is the same thing except for pups:) hope that helps!

Go to opentable.com and find the option for large party reservations. It helped me so much when I hosted a large party last year (we ended up at the Grill on the Alley at the Galleria with about 60 people ) you can choose area of town, number of guests, type of food and more. It generates emails to places you are interested in. All restaurants I considered answered immediately. Great resource!!

Hutchins BBQ in Frisco. It will make you forget Hard 8 exists.

Mi Dia in Grapevine for Southwestern food, it is not Texmex but it is awesome. Otherwise I would pick Anamia's. Pecan Lodge for BBQ but it is not close. Hard 8 for the environment but there is so much better BBQ.

Linda Ferguson Grady--orders were ALL wrong (4 of them), waitress was so rude, waited for 15 min to get menues and water, manager yelling at me to "leave if you dont like" after we told him the waitress sat there for 2 min arguing with my teen that he ordered pepperoni and not olive (even though my son HATES peperroni and would never order it)...blah blah blah. BUT the silver lining is all of the recommendations for other italian places! thanks for all of the referals! and if anyone has the owner's contact info, please let me know
