Looking for recommendations on hotels in Niagara Falls. What are the top things one must do when they visit?
Amanda W. replied:
We've always stayed at Blue Moon Hotel on Lundy's Lane. 10 minute drive to the Falls. We usually rented the 2-3 bedroom apartment units which come with fridge, stove, microwave etc. We figured we were only there for meals and sleep so it was cost effective since you usually spend more on Clifton Hill and the various activities. We would take advantage of the fact the hotel unit we shared had all the amenities so we would make our own meals like supper (frozen spaghetti sauce) etc and use No Frills a few minutes down the road for fresh stuff. As for all the activities we would utilize the Niagara Fun Pass as well as the Ripley's Pass. The hotel has a pool that's accessible in the summer months. Last time we went was for New Years in 2011 so the pool was frozen, however we were a group of 20 lol. Another must go to is the Flying Saucer diner on Lundy's Lane. It's one of the best spots for breakfast and very popular with the locals. One spot I personally wouldn't go back to is Rainforest Cafe. The food was absolutely flavourless and overpriced. The experience was alright but not worth what we paid.

Marineland sucked last yr when we went,, we bought a pass for 55 dollars a person & we got to do 4 different activities which included the white water walk, behind the falls, the fury & the boat plus 2 day bus rides. The flying Saucer Restaurant is really good food & prices, we stayed at the Ramada on Lundy's Lane& there's an outlet mall a crossed the road. They have zip linning now too at the falls. We were there for a wk & didstuff everyday sou won't find something too do.

We took a work group of about 25 to Court yard Marriott on Victoria Ave. Rooms were cheap and clean. They have a number of different packages you can buy for attractions. One is a package for all the attractions at the falls. and the other is the fun pass for the attractions on Clifton hill. If it's a trip that you haven't done before and don't plan on returning for a while then I would recommend doing both passes. https://www.cliftonhill.com/tickets

Anyone know of any good hotels near marine land? As I don't have a car so it would need to be walking distance thanks
Brent H. replied:
Google maps has a 'nearby' button. Not the same as Googling. With the information you get, go to Trip Advisor and check out the hotels. You'll get a lot more information in the reviews than you probably will through FB. I do that anytime I'm going somewhere new. They sometimes offer tips and tricks in the reviews, too!

I think nothing is walking distance. I have not been to Marineland for personal reasons, but we stayed at Americas best Value Inn right downtown. It was about $200 a night, but worth it. Also if you can bus or cab it the KOA and Jellystone Park on Lundy's Lane have great cabins for $100 or so a night and you get bunk beds and a double bed I think it was.
Does anyone have any recommendations for dog kennels/hotels in the area with positive experiences?
Brent H. replied:
Howliday Inn in St. Andrews. We've boarded our dogs there and they get one on two (we have two dogs) attention. Big kennels, clean comfortable and great prices. I was very happy with the service and the experience! http://www.howlidayinn.org/mobile/
Hi Courtney, I highly recommend Best Western, NAV Centre the Cornwall Golf and Country Club and Ramada. If you don't mind travelling outside of the city, Sand Road Sugar Camp is a good option and a little further, you can find Stanley's Maple Farm and Strathmere.
Would anyone know if there is a place, restaurant or hotel that offers a High tea/ Luncheon for small or large groups in the afternoon in Cornwall? Tks
Jen O. replied:
NAV centre has done high tea events for local businesses. Big or small. 936-5000
First Canada Inns is a decent place & I think fairly cheap. there are cheaper motels like Indigo, Murray Hill, but they are a tad old & maybe dingy. I havent been in them for years. Remada has rooms for $104, Super 8: $84, First Canada: $80, Elect Inn: $53, I got all these off Expedia. there might be bed & breakfasts cheaper
