Anyone have recommendations for carpet cleaners and pest control??? Closing on a house this week and want to take care of that before we move in:)

RM, I have a great guy that owns his own business who has done our house for years. Danny with Swarm Raider Pest Management, cell 361.945.0344, office (wife!) 361.850.3644. Gentle Christian man. Very dependable. Much less expensive than our Pest Fog contract. Carpet cleaning - I know one of the managers at work highly recommends a company in town. I can get the info tomorrow and let you know. Congratulations on your new home!!!

Organic Pest Control Recommendations Over the past few weeks, have seen a couple cockroaches and scorpions inside our house. This is the first time we've seen any after...

Get this

Then put it in this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002SW52CE/
Then puff it around the perimiter of your house/apt making sure to get it in all the nooks and crannies. Then go outside and dust your lawn and other areas. The stuff will not work immediately but you will notice that bugs will just stop showing up. Only thing you have to remember is that you need to keep up the spreading to keep he bugs out. So after a rain you need to dust again. After you vacuum, dust again. After a couple of weeks, dust again.
But don't worry this stuff is edible so it wont hurt you or pets.
Mosquitos you need these.

Scorpions, starve your cat of cat toys for a bit. It will take interest in scorpions and kill them.

Cyan (sp?) Pepper. Animals are naturally driven away by the smell. A whole lot cheaper than any exterminater Source personal experience.

ABC has [chem-free service](http://www.abchomeandcommercial.com/sanantonio/residential-services/pest/chem-free.php). I learned about it on one of the local radio station's organic gardening shows.

My employers use Earthwise... I can't really speak to their efficacy, but the guy is always very nice, and it smells nice when they leave.
Any recommendations for pest control companies? I've had it with these bugs!
Shonnah G. replied:
If you want to get the job DONE, I suggest Terminex or Pest Fog. We learned the hard way about 5 years ago, that you get what you pay for! We went 3 years without another bug!I was pregnant and my daughter is now 2, so that's why we went so long w/o another visit.
Melissa B. replied:
We use Pest Patrol. They do the yard for flees and ticks too.
Wendy R. replied:
Thanks, ladies. I think I'm going to try a big name. We had used Pest Patrol and while I helped, we still saw roaches.
Does anybody know a good Pest Control company? We've been dealing with a flea infestation and tried getting rid of them ourselves, but no success!
Austin B. replied:
We used Pest Fog when we lived in Corpus (our house had lots of cockroaches before we moved in). They were very professional and did a good job. They have a 6-month guarantee, so if you see any insects for 6 months after the treatment, they'll come back as many times as necessary to get rid of 'em.:-)
