Does anyone have a child (under 10) therapist/psychologist referral in the north OC area? We are specifically looking for help with anxiety. Very much...
Andrea S. replied:
Jennifer Treadway Molle ( www.jtmolle.com ) works with children. Also look into food allergies, eliminate sugar/processed foods. (GAPS diet (McBride) works for some, see also The Mood Cure by Julia Ross, and Nutrient Power by Walsh. Nutrition (and sleep) are critical.

Therapist recommendations Hey Guys i wanted to see if anyone has some good therapist recommendations for myself. I live in Costa Mesa area but willing to travel for...
Flipopapotamus replied:
I work at the LA County Dept of Mental Health and if OC's Dept runs similarly I'd need to know if you have private health insurance, medi-medi, or medical. I refer those that have medical insurance to our hotline or clinics and looks like OC has their own OCLink hotline 855-625-4657. Hope that's a helpful start.

You can try the California Family Institute, they're mostly student trainees, but its $25/hr a session.

Living Success is in Costa Mesa and operates on a sliding scale. I recommend them heartily!
LifeWithOfa replied:
Since it's for anger issues, the best therapy is Jiu Jitsu. Come to 10 th Planet Jiu Jitsu in Costa Mesa. After a few classes, you'll be better at controlling your breath and mind.

My boyfriend just started going to pepperdine in irvine. You set your own price for sessions which has been great for us.

Hi, not sure if you're still looking for a counselor to talk to but I wanted to come back to this post and say I've made an appointment at the California family institute based on the recommendation I got here. It was super easy to set up an appointment and they asked me how much I was looking to pay and took my offer without any questions. I was very impressed and am looking forward to my appointment.

Physical Therapist? Psychotherapist? Occupational Therapist? There are a lot of "therapists" around. Please be more specific.
