There is a chance I need to take my cat to an after hours vet. Does anyone know of one that will not cost me an arm and a leg to look at her? Thanks.

Priest Lake Veterinary Hospital is very good. I just got a postcard from them that they were moving to Morris Gentry Drive.

Priest Lake vet is thinking about becoming a 24 hour service provider, available for emergencies. We need to encourage them to do that. The closest er for animals, I think, is on Sidco Dr. There is also one on 12 th Ave So. which I've used many times.

Emergency Pet Clinic 12 th South. Last time I went it was suppose to cost $75, but it ended up being far less than that.
Thanks to all for your help regarding vets. Meanwhile, we went with Airport Animal Clinic for a few reasons. One - Vicky Addington Tataryn suggested it and her son is interning there. Two - My husband, Tom, takes the bus and he could get to the vet so I did not have to miss work. Regarding the cat, she has a fever of non-specific origin. Since her brother had passed away last weekend without a real cause, we were very concerned. Again, thanks for all the good ideas.
Does anyone know a good vet with good pricing for spaying. Vet wants to charge me 1200 and if we took some her stem cells for later on like if she gets hip dysplasia its...

Here's a link to low-cost spay clinics. None in Irvine. We've used Arbor Animal for all our pets but I don't know what their spay price is. Shadow was spayed while still at the Norco Shelter. https://media.ocgov.com/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?BlobID=6191

I don't remember it being that much, I have always used Irvine Pet complex. Dr. Harner. I thought it was more like $200.
Anyone know of a good vet? My dog has issues when he goes and I think I need to try someone new. Perhaps a male vet? Sully seems to respond better to men in general.

Dr. David Driscoll in Irvine. "dr Dave" as everyone calls him. Very small town, super personal service. Open some Saturday's. No boarding, but they finally opened a groomer!
Rosan P. replied:
The best - Dr. Lori worked for other vets then saw how much the pad the bill and perscribe meds not needed:, then started her own practice. Family Animal Hospital, Costa Mesa, 714-434-2830, Dr. Lori J. Honest, talented, cares about your pet, fair prices.

FAM vet medicine is great pricing but the receptionist are clueless. 6 different times I had bad experiences. Once got handed wrong dog, then they kept entering entering wrong contact information wrong, then had wring chart up for my dogs file and was entering wrong information, then didn't give me pain meds after surgery. One thing after another keeps coming up with this place. I don't reccommend

I've been going to the Irvine Pet Complex for over 10 years. 34 Creek@Alton. Dr. Rellinger, Dr Jestine, Dr. Harner, all excellent there.

I take Peaches to Quail Hill Animal Hospital (right off the 405 at Sand Canyon). Good vet (5 stars on Yelp), and they give you a price list with all the options before you get treatment instead of surprising you after. Whatever you choose, look them up on yelp first! http://www.yelp.com/biz/quail-animal-hospital-irvine

I have an older dog whom is suffering, can anyone recommend a vet that does house calls, I want it done at home :( saddest/hardest thing ever
Lindsey D. replied:
Laps of love. Dr Mary will come to your house and treat you and trigger with the best heart. When she completes her job, she leaves you with a beautiful clay paw print of your beloved dog. We would pay it again to have her treat our old pup Willis as well as she did. We knew it was right when Willis wagged her tail upon Dr Mary's entering the house. Willis hated vets so that helped us feel better

Alamitos Animal Hospital in Westminster (West Garden Grove border). Dr. Leung is amazing and so nice. There's been a couple times I've had to take one of my dogs in for an emergency and couldn't afford the whole treatment at once. He is only concerned about the welfare of your pet and will let you make payments. Great vet.
