I know! I just don't want to put people off, reading back over this thread it could be taken that way, but certainly wasn't my intention. The reason we sometimes avoided walking past him was he can seem so disappointed which made us feel bad! Also as Eleni Papa and Bill at the AnixiApartments Sisi pointed out to us last year, for the people running the hotels, bars and tavernas in Sissi it's a long season and by the time we visit end of September and early October business is falling off and they're winding down and may be tired

rain forecast for the next week but showers rather than constant. Sea temperature OK. Menios, Fishermans, Plori definitely open. Not sure about Agistri, Remezzos, Pink Flamingo or Mikes. Tsam Tsam will be open. There will still be things available in the village. Not sure about your other activities
