the peddler, hands down. Locally owned, been around 40+years. They hand cut steaks at your table. Always win excellence awards, etc. We always prefer local to a chain when on vacation. Pancake Pantry is great. There is always a line, but it moves quickly. Crystelle Creek and Best Italian Restaurant are great as well.

Just got back from there! Sea Critters was great. Middle Ground was also excellent. The Concierge there has a list of ones they recommend, with descriptions. They have an excellent concierge in the building where you check in. We asked them a lot of questions and they were most helpful. Not the Blue green desk.

The meals at Big Cedar are WONDERFUL but pricey. We usually order a pre-cooked meal from the local grocery store, Country Mart in Hollister 417.334.3383. It comes pre-cooked and ready to heat. They have different packages and we just supplement with the family tradition extras. It's always good.
