You could look into our Carrollton school. Go online to www.responsiveed.com to look at the schools near you.
Jurie P. replied:
If you're looking for a great private school look at Explorations Preparatory School in Flower Mound, 5-10 minutes from Carrollton. Around $9000 a year, significantly lower cost than most other private schools. Non secular so if you're only looking for religious education may not be a fit for you.

Our baby started at Small Miracles (Newberry and Arapaho) at 9 1/2 weeks. He's 4 months now. We've had a great experience, and daycare was my greatest source of going back to work anxiety.
Melinda L. replied:
Carpe Diem near Heights Baptist - there for almost 10 years with three kids. Lots of other good advice as well. Had friends with great experiences at all the locations mentioned above.
Richard T. replied:
Firstly: congratulations! That is wonderful news. Secondly, my two cents are: start now. If you are planning on day care for the fall most places start registering as early as February. Some places have infant care and some do not. Some offer only fu ll-time while others offer part. I have heard good things about Little Steps but we are sending our little one (due in March) and our future 4-yr old to Richardson UMC this fall because it offers positively-reviewed part-time infant care.

Small miracles is great. The infant room ladies are great with the babies. https://www.dfps.state.tx.us/.../ppFacilitySearchDayCare.asp You can search for them here. Also look up their compliance deficiencies. You would be appalled by the results of some of the day cares.

RECPTA is a wonderful group. My "baby" is now 20. We both enjoyed all the activities and programs. Another great resource is Dallas Association for Parent Education. They have offered childbirth classes since 1959! First group to get dads in the delivery room. Also parenting and I teach CPR for them. 972-699-0420. I don't know what the wait looks like at [Dealey Child Care](http://child-care-preschool.brighthorizons.com/tx/dallas/texashealthdallas/Our-Center) right now, but it might not be bad if parents are still freaking out over Ebola. They're open from 6:15 am until 7:30 pm, never close for weather, and stay open on quite a few holidays when other places are closed.

Any recommendations for dog walkers/sitters, dog daycare in our hood/area?
Nina K. replied:
John and Sherrie Narusis on Coronado. They'll come and walk your dog however many times you need them to, trusty-worthy and you can ask them to bring in your mail and make it look like you're home, when you're not. (214) 437-7374. I use them every time I'm out of town.
Lindsey O. replied:
White Rock Pet Services. (http://www.whiterockpets.com/) we've used them daily for several years.
Marlena V. replied:
I've been thinking of taking on some dog walking clients. They have to either be small dogs or large dogs that don't pull on the leash. I've got medical bills from hand surgery & ongoing problems, so I could use the extra income but I'm limited in my strength & abilities. If you're interested message me or email petwatch@cstreets.org.

http://www.cuddlykidscare.com/ creepy name and bad website but my friend has used it for years now. she calls it the play place..lol Adventure kids is up pretty north of you. They seem nice but are probably expensive given their retail location. It's close to you so check it out. They're open pretty late some nights
derek_v replied:
I use Adventure Kids quite a bit - the staff seems competent/friendly. Are you looking for primary childcare or just for special occasions? Your best bet for off hours childcare is a center attached to a hospital, as most of the nurses have 12 hour shifts.
HanSolosHammer replied:
If you're looking for something long term I'd go with one of the places others have mentioned. But if it's just going to be every now and again I'd recommend you find a sitter. I used to baby sit while I was in school through sittercity, they do background checks on sitters and you can screen the person and get to know them beforehand. I did an overnight a few times when the parents had an early morning. There are more websites, I just only had experience with sittercity
Does anyone know how to apply for child care assistance? I go back to work Monday and need it! Please help!
