Petra B. replied:
Dr.Sant P. Chawla in Santa Monica part of UCLA. He is a well known Sarcoma Specialist. Always crazy busy in there but the people are awesome. I'm a patient there and I came all the way from Europe ;-)
I can recommend 100%, without hesitation, Dr Forscher, MD at Cedar Sinai or Dr Lee Rosen at UCLA Santa Monica. They are wonderful, patient, empathic and knowledgable. And they are pragmatic and honest.
Adam S. replied:
Dr Chawla isn't with UCLA actually, he's in his own private practice actually. He used to be with UCLA Hematology and oncology, but he's an incredible oncologist based on what I've heard over the years. He does a lot of clinical trials. I've never actually met or spoke with him at all.

Dr. Berryman at the Women's hospital in Omaha. I couldn't have had my HG pregnancy without her!! I had a PICC line. She took care of me and my little man!
Tracy L. replied:
I had HG with my pregnancy, but my doctor is in Sioux Falls, SD. He had me get a NG feeding tube put in. He is Dr McNamara and Dr Boyle from Sanford Hospital in the high risk area.
Mikaela H. replied:
Dr. Kinney in Lincoln (high risk) was aware and somewhat knowledgeable of HG. Willing for pretty much any anti-nausea med I'd ever heard of, including Ativan, which ended up being one of the more effective meds for me. Willing for IV infusions at any time. However, he was unwilling for a PICC. I've heard he has a new partner. Not sure if the new guy is familiar with HG or not.

It's a little bit of a drive but my Dr. Thomas Melchione at Capital OB/GYN in Sacramento was great and I had fairly severe HG. The only thing he wouldn't order was home healthcare with a mainline because of the infection risk. So over having a mainline and living in the hospital for a few months, I chose peripheral IVs and driving to the cancer center at the hospital every day for my infusions.
