While I am posting excessively about baked goods, Dorothy Lane Market also has a lot to offer: https://www.dorothylane.com/ I am a fiend for their Russian tea cake, but I also like real fruitcake, so weirdo? Their salt flute rye is hella nommy too, particularly with soft stinky cheese n wine.

Boosalis is hands down the best in Dayton or the greater Dayton area since its in Centerville. Taste like the baked goods I had in Germany and most of Europe.

There was a place at the intersection where Col Glenn turns into Airway, and Huffman turns into Woodman. Back in that old strip mall, called the Cakery. If they're still there, their rainbow cake was delicious.

St. Anne the tart is down on fifth Street near fifth Street brew pub in the st. Ann's district. Great pastries all made in the store. You have to get there early for the cinnabon.

A couple of my favorites right now are St Anne the Tart and Partial to Pie. Occasionally, Grist (inside District Provisions in Wayne), has some killer tarts and meringues in limited quantities, they make the best [lemon bar](https://www.instagram.com/p/Buh0C6 sgXuf/?igshid=1 pkjw8 kac4 okc) I have ever had.

Already some great recs in this thread, so I'll go down a different path. There's this new-ish place called Partial to Pie near UD that makes the best quiche! Seriously worth the visit.

Where is a good place to get a quality cake but not for these large prices?

I make those types of cake out of my home as a side fun business -However, I've only made the gf cakes for my daughter. I haven't specifically offer gf cakes to customers because the fear of cc. I have separate equipment and utensils and I wipe down my kitchen top to bottom before I start- I just don't have a separate area. And I don't mix the two orders that same time either. My daughter hasn't experienced any cc symptoms however, everyone's sensitivity of being cc is different so I am cautious to say "Yes I do make gf cakes!" This is my fb page Break Away Cakes to see my work. So if you would like to take a risk - i would love to make these cakes for GF families smile emoticon

I used Betty Crocker Gf mixes, Miranda. I modified them a little though after using them a couple weeks ago and finding the cake a little dry. This time I added an extra egg and 1/2 c milk per mix. It definitely improved the taste and texture of the cake. (I made the BC mix in the spring and not found it that dry before. I suspect it has to do with humidity due to the cold).

Brandy, I found all kinds of cake ideas on Pinterest. I also printed off cupcake wrappers for this party which I used for the store bought wheat cupcakes that I found from a former etsian, Foxtail Printables. Those were a big hit with the kiddos and those were really easy.
