New Liberty Farms (everything but beef) in YS on Mosier/Meredith Rd, Copey's in Medway & Dot's markets in Dayton. I buy all of my beef from Findley Family Farms. They butcher grass raised, antibiotic/hormone free beef every fall but I have to go to Zanesville to pick up my order. Maybe there is someone in the area that does this too?
Melissa L. replied:
We go to Landes Meats in Englewood off StRt 40.

YS Real Food on Facebook! There is a new Butcher in Fairborn, haven't tried them yet, 444 close to Rumpke/675. Small building, looks like cedar. It uses to be a small garden center. There is also one in Medway, but haven't been there in ages. I agree! The meat in grocery stores is looking worse and worse. Tom's used to have awesome selection at good prices. Now... charges Angus prices for mediocre quality. (Sorry, but it is the truth). Good luck. Join the real food page. And please share your findings!

Jed's on Dorothy Lane. I think they may have been the first restaurant to have a salad bar. I also loved, loved, loved and worked at Burger Chef on Third Street. They also had a build your own burger bar. While I worked there I got so fat, my pants split out one day when I reached for an order for a customer.

I was just a kid then and never was able to go to any fancy places, but when I got into high school and discovered Marion's pizza, it became my favorite. I have lived around the world and have eaten at some fabulous places, but I love Marion's. When I have the chance to get back to Dayton I always make it a point to stop there and to go to the Esther Price Candy on Wayne Ave......and I love Smales pretzels too.....Bill Thomas just sent me some of those....yummmmmmmmmmm!
Vicki S. replied:
Joes Pizza and Parkmore.
