Does anyone have a suggestion for a shoe repair shop they have used with success in the Decatur and surrounding areas?

Village Shoe repair in Tucker was great.

Okay. So here's the lowdown: cheap, but acceptable repair- go to south dekalb mall, there's a place there; good repair and good prices- Shoes by Sam on Lawrenceville Hwy ( he's a little Russian that does good work and likes to talk to you); best repair, but kinda pricey- Village Shoe Repair in Tucker, Larry is great and does the BEST repair work, but like I said, kinda pricey. If you go here, tell him Boedy sent you and he will likely laugh for a good while. He's a good guy. The place at Decatur square is RIDICULOUSLY expensive! There is only so far I would go to support local business, and they surpass my generous limit.
Neighborhood friends, does anyone know of a good shoe repair close by? To repair a heel of a boot.

I had a number of people recommend Village Shoe Repair on Main St in Tucker a while back when I needed some shoes repaired... I never went, still plan to, but I've heard this place mentioned several other places since I got recommendations to go there.
Michelle S. replied:
Ive used Village Repair in Tucker twice and was happy with the results.

We use Village Shoe Repair off Main St in Tucker all the time for Chuck's shoes (he's hard on his good shoes as he walks a ton downtown). The guy is really good, reasonable. He was previously off of LaVista, so has been in business for quite a while.
Hello, can anyone recommend a repair shop that can put a new zipper on my purse that is nearby? I wasn't a fan of the work Claremont Shoe repair had done for me...
Tammie W. replied:
There's a place on College, heading toward Avondale Estates on the left called Sew It Seams.
Jackie F. replied:
Try Bob's Shoe Repair on Lawrenceville Hwy next to the new Goodwill...
