What is the cheapest vet in town to get a kitten a full check up and shots? Recently found a stray and I've noticed a small, soft, bump on her stomach and I've done some...
Chelsea A. replied:
Dr Morgan at Pawstively pets. I think a check up is $40. Shots range in prices.

Cynthia D. replied:
I agree. Pawsitivley is awesome..and the prices are affordable. Most reasonable I could find for an actual vet. Northgate is very nice as well but twice the cost...I simply could not afford any pets if they all charged what Northgate charges..very unrealistic...and I was much more pleased with Dr Morgan
Linda C. replied:
Dr. Morgan at PPAH is amazing.
Amanda D. replied:
Dr. Cheryl at Eldorado Animal Hospital (across from east end McDonalds). Small office, but don't let that throw ya off. She's amazing!!
Anyone have doctor, eye doctor, dentist, chiropractor, veterinarian, recommendations? What do you like about them, their staff, are they easy to get into, etc?
Heather C. replied:
Dentist I used to go to but changed due to insurance providers accepted..Cole Ronald N DMD Pc at 2727 North Oakland Avenue Decatur, IL. Short wait time, dentist who cares about you, they offer laser gum cleaning and it feels WAY cleaner than then just the normal clean other dentists do..
Heather C. replied:

Puppies nurse for up to 8 weeks weaning at 6weeks. I can only hope that the female dogs pregnancy and deliver go well and that the puppies are healthy. I hope your brother does the right thing .... The humane thing. Takes care of the female and her pups and makes sure they go to good homes. It was his mistake ..... Not hers. It's just in the dogs nature
Julie D. replied:
If they won't do it, odds are she is too far along. Get her spayed after. Contact Homeward Bound. Guarantee they can find those babies homes. They must stay with mother first 8 weeks. They will not need to feed her more, and she feeds the pups. They will not have to pay for more food
After using the clinic on eldo for 15 years, we moved a bit north and I just took the pup to the vet outside farmer city. Hands down better service and about 1/4 the price. Dr. Mennenga on prairie Chapel road. Be aware that the Google maps directions will try to take you right past the office by quite a bit. It is in an old country church building. Well worth the 30 minute or so drive from decatur.

Dr Mary Welle in Champaign saved my furbaby after Fairview and Oakland sentenced him to death. He did die, to be fair, but we got an extra 25 months out of him.

Dr. Wade at Northgate Pet Clinic is an absolute joy to work with. Everyone there is great, but Dr. Wade is my favorite. She legitimately cares about your pet and helps you feel comfortable about any issue.
Carra M. replied:
Dr. Rojas at northgate pet clinic. I had a kitten that got extremely sick and that I had to put to sleep recently, and she was absolutely amazing. She found out what her mystery sickness was and helped us with a payment option and took amazing care of my kitten up until there was nothing we could do. She's very smart and sincere!

Pawsitively Pets, by far. They were so caring when our Spike passed recently. He was so distraught when he took him to them to be cremated and they hugged him. Just a few days ago, we received a plaque with Spike pawprint. Needless to say we just started crying. Dr. Terri Morgan and staff are the best.

Chris B. replied:
When we couldn't figure out what was wrong with Boo, Dr. Helsing, at Eldorado Animal Hospital found out he was diebetic. She tried human insulin and it didn't work so we had no choice but to go with the more expensive medicine but she kept him until she was sure it was working. Because of his really good care is has been around about 5 years longer than expected and is still here.
Decatur Animal Clinic is the best veterinary clinic in town, they will work with you; but "cheapest" isn't something I would look for in a vet, or a doctor; maybe you need to re-evaluate how you feel about your pet/pets. I'm not trying to start drama at all, but you get what you pay for, no matter what the service is.
Laniesa R. replied:
Eldorado animal hospital has more than reasonable prices plus she REALLY cares for pets. I had my puppy treated for juvenile cellulitis at 9 weeks and it only cost $30 and she called to check on him every day until he was out of the woods. She's fabulous
Serena D. replied:
Dr. Cheryl at Eldorado Animal Hospital. (East Eldo). You get more than you pay for...because there's no fancy waiting rooms etc. just good, compassionate care!
