If most of your business is selling to chefs and restaurants I would read and follow as much as you can from Curtis Stone, The Urban Farmer. His book covers a great deal of the business end and his website as well. But also his YouTube channel. I believe he also gives links for firms that he uses in his business. Also goes over various spreadsheets and excel documents. http://theurbanfarmer.co

Have you considered using Wave Accounting for your invoicing. The accounting software is free but you can sign up to allow customers to pay online via credit card. There are credit card processing fees for that part but I get paid much quicker that way since customers can pay by credit card and then still get their interest free time on their cards before they have to pay. Plus you don't need to wait for the checks to arrive

I’m in kind of a similar situation, at least planning on starting a business but still waiting for the right place to come along. I’ve read a lot of books to help me wrap my mind around various enterprises and running a farm business. Here’s what I’ve read and am still reading that relates specifically to the business aspect: - You Can Farm - Your Successful Farm Business - The Farmer’s Office - The Organic Farmer’s Business Handbook - Building A Sustainable Business
