We always go to the one in Paddock lake because we don't care for Los Compadres and we've heard bad things about the one across from Fred's. Can't wait to try this new place!

I love Ponchos in Genoa City, just a little far to go, maybe I should stick with Taco Bell!!!

We went to Los Compadres for a work meeting lunch. Talk about nasty there was a cock roach in a sandwich and half of one in my soda . Never will go thee again. And they wanted us to pay for it.
Krissy D. replied:
Sorry but I'd have to say El Borrito Loco (the one across from Fred's) is by far the best one! You may say it's dirty but it really isn't. Sorry folks!
Lorraine J. replied:
Krissy Darling dirty doesn't describe roaches in the food and drink. It's disgusting. If any place should close up that's the place.
Matthew S. replied:
Best place in the area is in mukwonago, Antigua Real is the name I believe.

Try "Tienda El Rancho" on the corner of Hy H and Grant Street in Lake Geneva, by FAR the most simple, tasty, authentic and quality Mexican food in the area ... If You're stuck in Burlington, we've beet to STM twice already, and I would say they're bett er than the other two in town but not by much, and actually quite pricy for what they serve in comparison. The authenticity is there, but again, the quality and accuracy are so-so at best. Stay AWAY from Los Agaves in Delevan *shudder* and the place in Paddock Lake - food quality and freshness have been consistently bad IMHO (plus Paddock Lake is as mentioned above really more American/Mex). A close second for simple, authentic, reasonable Mex would be either of the "Supermercado America"s" (one on Broad in LG and one by the Pharmacy Station in Elkhorn) ... Recommendations at Tienda are the Huaraches Asada (to die for) and their Caldo Mariscos on Fridays or Carnitas on the weekends (reminiscent of Carnitas Don Pedro in Chicago, mmmm) ... The Chile Rellenos are always great at Supermercado America, and when available their Tamales Roja are great too:)
Dale Z. replied:
Christian, where in Delevan? Los Agaves is filthy, horrible service, mediocre food at best, Hernandez is quite Americanized ... Ig there's another place You'd recommend in Delevan I'd love to hear it and why, would def try them out!
Dale Z. replied:
Annabelle - Well Stated:)
Julissa M. replied:
Hmm if there's ground beef tacos it's not really Mexican. I want to check it out. Los Agaves in Delavan is the best!
