Jenica G. replied:
If your looking into hormone and thyroid issues you may be better off with a endocrinologist. I use Dr. Haque for my thyroid issues.
Joy S. replied:
Dr. Ferris, Grapevine Internal Medicine. 1601 Lancaster. Google them, they are awesome, been going there for 10 years. All services except mammogram in house, bio identical hormones, allergy services available from another provider in house, I completely trust this doctor, he is gifted in the area of diagnosis, and does not bs you. He found my thyroid cancer in a routine physical visit, I did not recognize my symptoms.
Debbie F. replied:
I had a great experience with Dr. Probst in Grapevine who is also an endocrinologist. A while ago there was a post about this same issue with a lot of comments on various endocrinologists including lots of feedback on Dr. Haque.

I have been seeing Dr. Phipps and Pam for over 7 years. I used to love them. In the past 2 years I have had problems getting in for thyroid checks. 2 months ago I was having problems with a lot of bleeding I went in and got checked and had a lot of blood work done. I had to Chase them down for the results and was told I needed an ultrasound and retesting on everything in three months for other issues that were not normal. I had to call again when the no one called about the ultra sound. I called the office again and was told it wound be at Flower mound imaging. I called them and was told they no longer do ultrasounds. Then I got a call saying why haven't you done the test is should have been done in May. They tried to find a place in Flower Mound but had to send me to Las Collinas that was a week and 1/2 ago I was told the Dr got the results on the truth, but and would be into in touch with in about 72 hours. This is driving my menopausal self scared and crazy. Is it me? I'm open to criticism or suggestions. I want to see a specialist but, would you change Doctors?
Tami E. replied:
Dr Phipps I believe has gotten to many patients but I do like him. But I have been seeing Dr Gillem the new lady Dr there. Much easier to get in.

Oh, and guys, let me tell you. After looking at the very short list of people - specialists and no - on my provider list, not a single person mentioned is on BCBSTX Blue Advantage HMO Silver. This sucks. I will have to suck it up and hope I can get to a doctor otherwise, because it looks like Dr. Blanknau at the Minor Emergency on Lillian Miller is available. I have been to him before and do like him. Gosh. The things you have to sacrifice for a low deductible...
Sam P. replied:
Joe, I used to go to the UNT Health Center, and Dr. White there is my preferred doctor overall. I'm not currently a student, though. And only you know whether you like your doctor or not. I'm not saying that I won't see a male doctor. I am saying I prefer a female doctor. It looks like I'll be seeing a male doctor anyway unless I find happen on one of the female internal specialists for my primary care. And like I said, I don't mind Dr. Blanknau. I've seen him before.
