If your baby is getting too much milk, too fast, they are more prone to spit up, or even projectile vomit. My daughter had acid reflux and increased spitting up if I ate sugar, drank coffee, or citrus. Really, I would consider eating a very basic diet for a while and see what happens. The colic tablets did help (and still do help) with her acid reflux. Also, wait about 20 minutes after feeding to lay your baby down or consider elevating head of bassinet.

Dr. Amy Petersen DO at Des Moines Pediatric. She is the best! Ps- I wasn't able to eat certain foods while nursing my first child as her tummy would get upset. A big food no no for me were brussel sprouts

Have you ruled out Reflux? Our newborn suffered terribly from this and would cry non stop. Within 24 hrs of being put on medicine, she was a completely different baby. We love Dr. Milani at Mercy East Pediatrics.

Eric Haugen-Blank Children's Clinic. He's got 4 kids of his own that are all school age so I feel like he relates really well and at the same time a little old school. We've been with him for 6 years and love him!

I'll add another vote for the West Des Moines Childrens Clinic. Dr. Shoab Sayeed. (He graduated from Valley - raised in Iowa - his dad actually started the practice. I could tell you many stories on how he went above and beyond for my kids, and his office staff has as well.

Waukee Pediatrics right across Hickman from the Y. Dr. Cooperrider is great. I met w/ her before we started their to discuss her views on things. I so agreed w/ her stand on referrals and etc.

We go to Dr. Rinderknecht as well and love, love, love him!:)

We go to Lakeview Pediatric Clinic. Dr. Rodemyer is great!

We go there, too. It's right next to Country Club Glen Park. We usually see Brian Waggoner but everyone has always been great. They also have an Ankeny location in addition to Beaverdale and he divides his time between the locations.

I LOVE Des Moines Pediatrics. I went there and my son goes there. Sally is my favorite but they are all awesome. They have a office in Beaverdale, and then a couple in the suburbs but the Beaver office is where I always go. The staff is nice and they make you feel less like your in a Dr office so it's nice if you do end up with them long term for older kiddos.

Bert Smith I hope to keep them longer term but were also still hoping to relocate with Luke's job at some point so I'm not sure how long term we would be as patients. Laura 'Boesen' Voshell i got a pamphlet last night at out hospital tour that had the unity point Methodist group in it and I was somewhat leaning that was just because they are close, and would probably be available to check out baby fairly soon and give us the go ahead to leave the hospital since they are so close! Ps I hope Kobi said hi for us last night, we ran into him at the mega hyvee with Isaac!

I've been told to switch to Des Moines Peds. I've had nothing but terrible experiences with Mercy Peds - Johnston, West, and Central.

Dr. Cureg delivered me and was my doctor all throughout childhood. She's awesome.

We go to Dr. Peterson at Des Moines Pediatrics, the Beaverdale clinic. We really like her. We interviewed her before Isla was born.

We see Lynn Howard out at Mercy West! And i used to go.to Dr Cureg out there when I was younger! Great doctors!

Shayla, I am not sure how far of a drive Waukee is for you from your home, but when we had Kamryn we took her to Waukee Clinic: Stephen B Rinderknecht DO. He is amazing. We were going to take the boys there and actually had their first appointment set but decided we would rather drive 40 min from Jefferson to Ames then the 70 min to Waukee. I was actually quite bummed that we decided to change. Anyway that is an option for you if you can't find one close to you at first. Btw-you look amazing!!!

Our pediatrician saw it in Brooklyn and referred us to Dr. Suh at Wolfe Eye Clinic. He has done a great job with her! She started wearing glasses and patching at 15 months.

Siena doesn't go to a pediatric eye dr, but our our dr is great! It's Dr Broek at Urbandale Eye Care.

I go to Dr. Deborah Haines at unity point health in altoona. Shes been my doctor since I was a newborn along with my brother and sister and I have always taken Jace there as well.

Dr. Cooper mercy central pediatrics,she's young fin and very well educated and understanding with me being that this is my first child.

My entire family goes to Dr. Lori Miller She is amazing and very knowledgeable on an array of subjects and is not afraid to refer to specialist when it is necessary.
