I was looking at doctors in my network last night and I really realized how much I do like my own doctor, I just hate the clinic. She is kind and a good listener, and takes the time you need. I really don't have any reason to leave her. Dr. Susan Kennedy - she's at Mercy Central Campus and their wait times are awful and last I was there (granted it was a while) office staff left something to be desired. She's good though.

I hear ya Eileen Jackson. I really really dislike most Mercy Clinics. I think they train their administrative staff to be micromanaging zealots and (some) of their office staff to be as rude as possible.

I had problems with a lot of the same places complained about in the link,so the link is ligit. My neighbor girls say ankeny and Dr. Munro is their choice is the des Moines area. Have yet to look into to them but one of them worked in a OB clinic and said to check with Munro, its who she delivered with.

Kathy, I hated to leave my doctor when I moved. Scott Meyer at Altoona Family Care. He's in his mid 40's, real friendly and down to earth and listens and expresses empathy. I went thru a lot of medical issues with him and he's very knowledgable and has good bedside manner.

Have you been seeing general practitioners or actual psychiatric professionals? If you've just been going to general practitioners, that's your problem. They really aren't geared for mental health issues. Since I moved to Des Moines a year or so ago I've been going to the [Unity Point Counseling & Psychiatry Clinic](https://www.unitypoint.org/desmoines/services-iowa-health-counseling-psychiatry-clinic.aspx) in WDM for my prescription management, and my provider has been great. I highly recommend giving them a call.
