Hi Jennifer - Unlike the AT, there aren't shelters along the PCT. But there are backpacking options along the trail (most of which is in wilderness on National Forest land here). We recommend snagging a map of the area (Green Trails No. 207) and scoping out your options north and south of the pass. Reading a few trip reports might also give you a few ideas.
