The Discover Pass is a pass so you can be on state land. You can buy the permit at a state campground, Walmart in the sporting good department or at the Department of motor vehicles. Tahuya is where we go.

New to Washington, where is your favorite place to camp? :)
Janine C. replied:
Love camping on Orcas Island! My husband and I just moved to Tacoma from the island and we miss camping, so much! You can camp at some of the resorts (Doe Bay) or on the mountain (Mt Constitution). OUr favorite place was Obstruction Pass. You camp near a cliffside overlooking the water and can take the pathway down to the water.:) Message me if you have any questions! <3

State parks will probably be full for Memorial Day. You might want to look for a Forest Service campground, which are usually first-come, first-served. Most of them don't have hookups or showers, but their sites are big enough for a trailer. There are tons of them! http://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/okawen/recreation/camping-cabins/?recid=57113&actid=29
