You need to talk to Jennifer Bourne701 269 1975 she is a massage therapist in Jamestown she has a pemf device that you lay on you can rent from her to see how that works for you if it does a good job you can purchase it don't need to take drugs
Jody K. replied:
I see Dr David Pengilly at Sanford south clinic. I have fibromyalgia but also CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demylenating Polyradicalneuropathy) and he works with me well with my meds and keeps up with new things that come up but won't just put you on it if there isn't much info. Plus he deals with the other which is definitely more rare.

My Mother In Law struggles with whole body pain that Drs. Have diagnosed as fibromialgia. When her Dr. here in Bismarck was not comfortable with upping her medication anymore he referred her to Mayo. We spent a week there and ultimately they wanted to up her meds by 3x was she was already taking. We got home and she started the process of increasing. I started a job at Active Life Chiropractic shortly after we got home. In the first weeks I had seen so many amazing life changes in the patients that we saw in the clinic. It was worth a shot. We got her in and she followed the Drs. recommended care plan. On her 5th visit, just a week and a half from her 1st visit, she broke down crying and hugged Dr. Doug. She told him that she felt like she had her life back and for the 1st time in over 30 years her pain had subsided enough to feel like her life was worth living again. Since then she has decreased her meds significantly. On two occasions she has had bad flare up in which she could hardly walk, on the way to the ER they decided to stop at the office and she was able to walk out and not go to the ER. www.activelifebismarck.com

I take Savella and have for 7 years. I too had a lot of weight gain from the Lyrica. The Savella helps me with my pain. I have a treatment plan that includes, medication, no narcotics, injections, which have helped me a ton, and massage, when my muscles get really tight. When you have a flare, you just have to wait it out. They are tough. Make sure to get good rest, keep your stress level down, and keep up with your daily schedule as much as you can. Its hard somedays because you don't feel good, but its good for your mind and you have to keep moving. Good Luck. I wish we had a Chronic Pain Support Group in Bismarck. Not to meet and complain, but to meet and support each other through all of this. Gentle hugs to all of you out there!

I have had fibromyalgia for as long as I can remember. I’ve been on countless meds that really just make you want to sleep. I am currently weaning myself off of Lyrica which helped in the beginning years but then like someone said it reprogram your brain. I’ve also changed my eating habits such as no carbs no sugar just protein, veggies and some good fat. I’ve lost 40 lbs sine weaning offof Lyrica and my eating plan. I also am able to walk for 45 mins a day. I feel 200 percent better. Dr LISA Francis is my doctor. The only thing I would add is CBD oil if I can find some. Any suggestions?

I've never gone to him medically, but I know him and his family personally. Really good guy. And the above information about Sanford billing is not true. Depending on the dollar amount, they might want full payment after they bill you. But, they absolutely do payment plans.
