Michael, I've recently taken out a months subscription to Ancestry and can't find Samuel in their military archives. Can you send me a private message with your email address and I can forward you what I found at findmypast, though I'm not convinced this is your man. I'm also wondering if it is worth your applying to the MOD office in Glasgow to see if they can find an archive for Samuel, only draw back is it costs £30 and you will need his date of birth. The £30 is returned if they fail to find anything on him.

I favoured Peel Campsite for family groups. Next door to swimming pool, Shoprite 5 mins walk away, Peel centre and one of the islands best beaches and ice creams 10 mins away
