Friends of Facebook, does anyone have any amazing restaurant recommendations that specialize in non-American "ethnic" cuisine in the area? South Shore, Cape, or up...

Sweet! Better than/equally good to your mom's is a big deal! Thank you so much! Ray Best, date night to Casa Portugal? Yay

There's more variety and it's more authentic. Chinatown for Chinese... Watertown for Middle Eastern... Waltham or Cambridge for Indian... Somerville for Haitian or Guatamalan... Jamaica Plain for PR, DR or Cuban... And many more. Where do you want to start ;-)

Wendy Weiser, ohh my goodness I'm so stoked! How about your favorite Middle Eastern and Indian? Guatamalan too? Ah any of the above, your faves

Casa Portugal in Cambridge. Amazing Portuguese food!:)
Wendy W. replied:
Middle Eastern - Jasmine on Mt Auburn St in Watertown. It's a dive with amazing food. Indian - Rani on Comm Ave in Brookline. Upscale place right on the T. Go for the weekend lunch buffet so you get the variety. Guatemalan I have to look up the place in Somerville and get back to you. I craved it at least weekly when pregnant with Johnathan.

Nikita Shoemaker, we loved Shalimar in Clifton Park! We will be back soon:)
Looking for recommendations on local restaurants that have outside dining. I know it is last minute but I am trying to find something for tonight! Thanks!

Hi Lisa Hausmann Nugent! There's Scarlet Oak or Alma Nove in Hingham. The Fairview Inn in Marshfield.

For more casual dining- The Fours in Norwell or Haddad's in Marshfield. I will say that Haddad's is a nice spot, but if I was rating based on my opinion of the food, it would be my last choice out of the 5 places I mentioned.
