Dr Barney (at Eagle Vision) is excellent with kids. The staff are all great.

Just my two cents, eye insurance is all around terrible (at least ours always had been) we pay out of pocket for checkup and exam and prescription then order glasses off the net for sooooooo cheap!! Like $10 cheap. http://www.zennioptical.com

Alicia H. replied:
I just had shoulder surgery from Dr. John Skedros. He's up in Murray so it was quite a drive but I've heard he's the best shoulder doc around.
Lisel C. replied:
My friend had shoulder surgery and her Dr is Dr Jackson, his office is on the south side of Timp hospital in the clinic. There's actually 2 dr Jackson's - brothers, they r both awesome, I saw Dr Johnson in the same office for my elbow and he's good too.

I would highly recommend Dr Matthew Poulsen. His office is in Provo, but definitely worth driving a little farther for a good dr. He specializes in knees and shoulders
Julie C. replied:
Dr. Hugh West at Tosh.
Chris G. replied:
I liked the doctor that did my last knee surgery. He was with Central Utah Orthopaedics in AF. John Wells, (801) 763-3885

Does anyone know a good pediatric GI doctor? I really need a 2nd opinion for my 5 week old.
Julie C. replied:
Dr. Harnsberger but she's in Murray.
Julie C. replied:
My Pediatrician in SS referred us to Dr. Harnsberger for my son. Though, I'm not sure why I didn't think of her in the 1 st place since she took care of my oldest daughter's issues years ago.
Jill B. replied:
Thomas Sutton in AF. He is really good. He is taking care of both my kids.
Angela M. replied:
not sure if he still practices or where.. last we saw him he was at the cottonwood medical plaza that no longer is there.. but Dr Miezelle. he saved our little girl
Holly W. replied:
Go to Laurie Anderson at Utah Valley Pediatrics in Orem. She is great. They can refer you to someone great if she can't fix the issue. 8012240421

LeAnne Johnson in west Jordan is amazing!
Mary M. replied:
I met Dr Embly at the EM carnival, he seems really nice! I'm glad to hear he takes bcbs, now we will for sure check him out!
Stephanie G. replied:
I agree with Ashlee Thorup Byington! I worked with LeeAnn Johnson and there is no one that cares more or knows more and still researches things constantly! She is amazing like Mary Poppins in every way. She sometimes runs late, but is well worth the wait. She is in West Jordan at Jordan Family Health on redwood and near 90 th south. 801-569-1999

Can someone refer pain management doctors that might be able to get a new patient in quickly with a move from out of state to Utah. We have a family member moving out...
Aubri S. replied:
In my experience getting in quickly with pain management docs doesn't really happen. I would recommend Robin Mountford at zenith family health because she'll listen to the situation and do all she can to help even if it's just till they can see a pain management dr.
Anthony G. replied:
This is where the Air Force referred me to. https://www.utahpain.com/
Janet B. replied:
Southwest Spine and Pain in the Riverwoods got me in in 10 days. Dr. Freeman was awesome! They might be able to work something out for faster service.
Recommendations for a primary care doctor? I want someone compassionate, who takes their time and who will take me seriously. I would also prefer they be local.
Kristen C. replied:
Don Allred at Zenith Family Health
Liz S. replied:
I love Cheryl Johnson at Premier Family Medicine in Lehi. Diagnosed a problem I'd been struggling with for over a year (and seen many other providers about). Takes time to listen and actual hear ALL your issues. I highly recommend her.
Rhonda P. replied:
Dr. McManus at The Clinic in Saratoga. I really like him and so does my family.
Tami M. replied:
Robert Christensen at Instacare, he does family practice.
Leah S. replied:
I will be going to Dr Coy tomorrow. My new insurance doesn't cover Zenith but I had been seeing Robin Mountford. Very nice. If she doesn't know the answer she was digging through books and discussing options with me. I stuck with her after several failed drs before her.
Alison M. replied:
Dr Coy at the IHC clinic in Saratoga is great. He takes the time to listen to you and works with you to find the best solution.
Jamie D. replied:
Dr Mike Ryan at zenith
Wendy L. replied:
I like Dr Ryan at Zenith
Teresa A. replied:
I've really liked Dr Coy.
Melissa C. replied:
Dr. James Coy, hands down
Codi W. replied:
Dr. McManus has a horrible bed side manner! I went in for what I swear was an ear infection, $100 later I was told I was congested. I had my baby with me and because of my name being a boy name, he said, "Oh so that's Codi?" When I corrected him, that I was Codi, he made the same mistake. He obviously wasn't paying attention. I went to another doctor and found the problem with my ear...it wasn't congestion! ;) I don't know of any good recommendations, but I can tell you who NOT to go to!:D
Nicole B. replied:
I have heard similar things about Dr. McManus.
Nikki S. replied:
Mike Ryan at Zenith Family Health. He is fantastic!
Angela A. replied:
I have liked Dr. Sean Doyle with tri city clinic
Kristen C. replied:
Dr Allred is my favorite. Very compassionate and knowledgable. I've seen at least 3 though and I'd go to any of them.
My general practice doctor moved and I am looking for a new one in the area, any good suggestions. This is for me not my kids.
Melissa C. replied:
Dr James Coy hands down. My husband actually goes to the doctor now. He is great, he lets you really be a partner in your health care. Gives you options with pros and cons and values your opinion.
Marsha G. replied:
Dr Christensen at the same office is fabulous as well. I like him for the same reasons listed above as well.
Crystal B. replied:
I also really like Dr. Coy!
Rhonda P. replied:
Dr. McManus. At The Clinic. Very good and explains things well so I understand.
Stacie P. replied:
I love Dr. Christensen he is amazing.
Tyson D. replied:
We love Dr. Christensen at the Saratoga Springs Family Medicine (IHC clinic). He is awesome!
Melody W. replied:
If you call at 8:00 am you can get in same day for sick appointment. We love Dr. Coy.
Shaun K. replied:
I agree with Dr. Christiansen at the IMH, SS. Although I am no longer a patient of his, due to TRICARE's recoverage. Worth the wait. I felt his referrals for me was specialist based, and not just sending me to a "friend" of his. (if TRICARE allowed, no doubt that I would want to be seen by Dr. Christiansen)
Shaun K. replied:
I do however see Nicole Delaplante in Draper at Lone Peak Primary. She just came in as of January this year. I am comfortable being seen by her, and my wife and kids see her too.
Teresa A. replied:
Dr Coy is the first family practitioner I have ever actually liked. He's great! I've heard good things about Dr Christensen too. It's harder to get in as a new patient. After that it's easier. If your sick they can usually see you same day, after that first visit. But that's typical of anywhere.
Which Pediatrician or Family doc would you recommend? I'm having my first baby in April and need to find a good doctor!
Dani R. replied:
Dr Foster at Alpine Pediatrics specializes in neonatal care and is an excellent physician. I've liked all the other doctors I've seen at Alpine Peds as well.
Amy L. replied:
Dr. McCune! And nurse practitioner Natalie. Wonderful.
Janelle W. replied:
We see Dr. Gunther in SS. She's great! Doesn't rush you out, takes her time and she really knows her stuff!
Libby H. replied:
We LOVE Dr. Wise at North Valley Pediatrics. Attentive to concerns and has been so knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to my daughter, who has had quite a few health challenges.
Ariane M. replied:
I love Dr. Ellertson at Utah Valley Pediatrics. He listens and answers every question and his office staff is amazing.
Melissa C. replied:
We love both Dr. McCune and Dr. Ellertson at Utah Valley Pediatrics, amazing with babies, kids with special needs, even teens. We have been with UVP for 16 years and love, love, love that we have such great doctors so close.
Irma C. replied:
Dr McCune with Utah Valley Peds. He's really awesome.
Anyone have any recommendation for a Physician over at Revere by Ridley's? Looks like they are contracted with Regence according to the Regence website. We just moved...
Mindy L. replied:

Justin L. replied:
Ashley, we really like Doctor Hadley with Intermountain in Orem.
Melinda T. replied:
Dr. Embley is amazing!! He is the one by Ridley's
Jody H. replied:
Dr Sullivan at Intermountain in Saratoga Springs. She is wonderful. Kind, caring, knowledgeable. Worked with her during her residency.
Danae S. replied:
I love Dr. Sullivan in Saratoga Springs! She is the kind of doctor who explains everything and watches out for your health enough that you don't have to stress about it. She brings up possible concerns so you don't have to. I wouldn't suggest crossroads family medicine unless you're looking for a quick diagnosis that may or may not be accurate and easy access to prescriptions.
Drew C. replied:
Shawn McManus with Premier Family Medical (Saratoga Springs) is very good...
My husbands work changed insurance coverage from IHC to Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield and was wondering if anyone knows what family practitioners or pediatricians in...
Melinda T. replied:
We use: Dr. Embley at Revere Health and Alpine Peds. Both take BCBS. Unless it is a specific IHC only clinic, then usually all doctors take all insurances.
Jenny M. replied:
Dr Embley at Eagle Mtn Clinic next to Ridleys
Janelle F. replied:
The same thing just happened to us! We have to change everything. We has our first appts this week with Dr Embley. He's really awesome. I'm actually kinda glad we were "forced" to make this change. He's really great with our teenage son, too. Which is important to me. Good luck.
Melinda T. replied:
We are being forced from BCBS to United Health. If the BCBS were of Utah, then that would be a good switch, but since we have of MA (which has better coverage) it doesn't make me happy.
