I would like to ask recommendations please...where do the adults prefer to go to the Dr? Pediatrician? Dentists for adults and children. And where are they located?...
Tricia P. replied:
My children and I both go to Dr. Hart(dentist) and we have always had great experiences!
Kristin M. replied:
This is just my opinion; I am not trying to slam any physician. We have seen Dr. Ngatuvai several times, but prefer Dr. McMannus (see my previous post). To us, Dr. Ngatuvai seemed a little "too textbook" in his diagnosis. Also, in that same office ( Premier Family Medical in Lehi) our main physician is Dr. Toran MacArthur. I would go to him til the day I die. Love that man and he is beyond great when it comes to spending time with you and considering what is going on with your health issues. But here's where I have to share our experience. Premier Family Medical's office staff and medical assistants constantly have dropped the ball on completing orders made by the physicians there. A lot. And we have often had to wait 10 minutes or more (last month I literally was on hold to speak to someone for 27 minutes -- and that was being on hold just for them to answer the phone when I was #7 in queue). That office, in our experience, has gotten too big for it's own shoes and they are not able to keep up. They forget to place orders for prescriptions, don't respond to pharmacy requests for refills, they don't call you with referral appointments the doctor has ordered, etc. Sometimes they get it right, but over the past year it's been a bear. I am just sharing my family's experience (and my kids are now adults and use that office and have the same personnel issues). Every physician I have been to there has been personable and kind. I am NOT trying to dis anyone, so please don't troll!
Tricia C. replied:
My kids see Laurie Anderson with UVP in Orem. I love her to pieces. I also really like UVP because they have after hours. Laurie is a fantastic PCP. I see Lisa Hall with Central Utah Clinic in Orem, and think she's just amazing. Both Laurie and Lisa ar e wonderful, compassionate people, and take excellent care of my kids and myself. My husband and I see Matthews Dental and I love them. They work so hard to keep dental work affordable, and do everything they can to work with you on payments. I like that they have TVs on the ceiling and no extra charge laughing gas. They are also super friendly and try so hard to relieve any anxiety you may have before a procedure. If you want numbers for any of these places, I've got them smile emoticon
Janelle F. replied:
For dentist we have seen Bart Gardiner at family first dentistry here in the ranches for 10 years. I love him and his staff. I trust his work and he knows my jaw and it's quirks and is willing to work around them and not force me beyond what I can do i n a single visit. Very kind and thorough and great sense of humor when appropriate. (My son is a Bart also, it's been fun.) My husband's doctor is Dr coy at ihc instacare in ss. He's great but getting hard to get in to see, a couple of weeks booked out these days. I see Shelly Ebert at American fork internal medicine by af hospital. She's wonderful. Listens, concerned, compassionate, knowledgeable, pushes when I need her to, gets me to do things I really should but don't necessarily want to because I'm lazy or scared. Just all around excellent.
So the Orem UVP number is 801.224.0421. Central Utah Clinic (Lisa Hall) is 801.802.7373. Dr. Matthews office number is 801.766.4944. Hope that helps!
Michele G. replied:
Love, love, love Greenwood Dental in Saratoga Springs!!! Dr Dale and Dr Brandon are both great. Phone is 801-766-3269
Michelle A. replied:
I second Laurie Anderson with UVP she's the BEST!!!
Tessa G. replied:
We love Hart Dental. They have a great staff and we love Dr Hart. they have fit us in within a half hour in emergency situations. They have flexible hours so you can get an early morning or evening appointment.
Kristin M. replied:
Dr. Sean McMannus in Saratoga Springs is fabulous. Nice office personnel as well. His office is the building just north of Kneaders. For dentist, we all love Bart Gardner in Eagle Mountain. He is the best, most careful and skilled dentist we have e ver gone to. I've had two other dental offices in Saratoga Springs that have done great damage, and Dr. Gardner was able to correct their shabby work. He is honest and will tell you what options you have. He doesn't push you to make the most expensive decision. He leaves that up to you. And they both take new patients. Dr. Gardner's practice is called Family First Dentistry.
Danielle P. replied:
Dr McCune for pediatrics at Utah Valley Peds which is behind Smith's now in am office building. Their location is tiny at the moment but they ate going to be moving into a new nicer location soon. I think the flower said this summer.
Pamela W. replied:
the family (Adult) Dr. is Dr. Ngatuvai (pronounced Naw-too-vye) at Premier Family Medicine in Lehi. My kids see Dr. Foster or Pavich at Alpine Pediatrics here in Saratoga Springs, the family Dentist is Dr. Gordon with Gordon Family Dental in Lehi (he is fabulous with my 5 year old and 10 year old) and my 7 year old who has major anxiety issues and needs heavy sedation for dental work goes to The Dental Barn in Eagle Mountain - they are great with her.
Anyone have recommendations for doctors?? We need to find a pediatrician

Eagle Vision is the absolute best optometrist I have seen. And I have been in glasses since I was eight. Also great with my kid.
Kylee O. replied:
Dr Embley at Revere Health is amazing and very much flexible to what you want in regards to his care. I had a surgery most doctors would not agree with and he has been supportive and helpful in all my after care. I really like how he is with the kids and he has so much patience!
Jessica A. replied:
I love Dr. McCune......I'm not crunchy, so I don't know how he deals withthat, but he has always been so supportive of me, and has always had a 'Mom knows best' approach....
Dalon C. replied:
I absolutely LOVE Todd Chidister, FNP at Utah Valley PEDs in AMF. We also use Dr. McDonald at smart ped dentist in SS.
Nikki S. replied:
Alpine pediatrics Dr. Pollary and Dr Mike Ryan at zenith family health for a family doc!
Melanie O. replied:
http://www.southhillsdentalspecialists.com/ Dr. Barton Sloan is AMAZING!!!
Tanya N. replied:
I like Alpine Pediatrics, but to be a patient they require your kids be up to date with immunizations - not sure if it conflicts with being "crunchy":), but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Ari M. replied:
I recently stopped taking my kids to Alpine Pediatrics and take them to the family care doctor, Embley, at Revere Health. The relationship he has developed with my kids and his approach in general is very family focused. I like his respect toward my ideas and in general.
Natalie S. replied:
I did not like Alpine Peds at all. Maybe it was an off day for them, but several things happened that were enough for me to not go back again. They did not listen to me at all.
Any recommendations for a female pediatrician in Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs area? TIA
Dolores N. replied:

Family doctor or pediatrician? Or dermatologist? Dentist? Etc....?
Ahnah L. replied:
We love Dr. McCune for our children and my husband and I see Dr. Coy, both in Saratoga Springs. We are somewhat new to the area too so that is all I know!
Jaclyn W. replied:
Dr McCune, Dr Coy and for dentist we go to Dr Clayton Hansen in AF. He is amazing for kids and adults!
Teresa T. replied:
Oh yes!! Dr Srinivasan! She is in Riverton Hospital!! One of the finest Drs I have ever had!
Kristy G. replied:
We love Dr Moskowitz and Dr Foster. I work next door to Dr Pete and I worked with Dr Foster for a while. They are both so concerned about the kids even when they aren't in the office. We also love Greenwood dental.
Adam O. replied:
Dr. Christensen in Saratoga Springs is excellent. We take our kids to Alpine Pediatrics by Smiths.
Alison M. replied:
Dr. Coy and Dr. McCune here too...Dr. Matthews in Saratoga Springs has been our family dentist for 5 + years.
Antonio N. replied:
Dr Christiansen is the best. He's at the IHC Instacare facility just WSW of Walmart, along SR73. He's very friendly, knowledgable, and the best thing about him is that he cares and takes time. You're not an appointment and a timeslot for him. He is very hands on and I recommend him very highly. He's also a pediatrician if I'm not mistaken.
Antonio N. replied:
Since you're talking about denitists, stay far, far away from Young Family Dental. Awful, charge you for things you didn't do, and we had to get our insurance fraud investigators on their case (with findings that they overbilled).
Leah S. replied:
do not go to holly timmons terry. i do like, however, Robin Mountford at zenith family help.
Jaclyn W. replied:
Don't got to Stonehaven Dental either. They are AWFUL
Clara B. replied:
We have seen Clayton Hansen, DDS in American Fork. He is kinda across from DI in a new office. He is good with our whole family...adults to kids. http://americanforkfamilydentist.com/ It is a little farther to drive but it has been worth it since we only go every 6 months or so.
Ryan H. replied:
Alpine Pediatrics all the way. We really like Dr. Edwards there. There's a dentist here in the ranches by village pizza.
Melissa C. replied:
Dr. Coy--IHC family practice, he delivered our most recent baby too, great guy, good doc--my husband actually goes to the doctor when he needs to now! We also love Dr. McCune for the peds, his staff is awesome too. We are really lucky to see people so close that are so friendly and good.
Tracey W. replied:

Jenafer B. replied:
Dr. Moskowitz; he's in Draper but worth the drive. My kids play "Dr. Pete" for weeks afterward.

Christina Esham at southridge pediatrics in riverton.
Amber J. replied:
Ryan Wilcox in American fork at Utah valley pediatrics. He is so sweet and sensitive. His wife is also a labor and delivery nurse so I think he understands a lot of that!
Elizabeth J. replied:
We drive over to Riverton for Southridge Pediatrics at the Riverton Hospital and see Dr. Gottlieb. I have a daughter with Down Syndrome who has a lot of health issues we have to be aware of and look for. He is amazing and although I usually always have some kind of questions to ask about her even at my other kids appointments he never minds and is always willing to go over anything we need. I also love that since you are already in the hospital if for any reason you need a blood draw or tests done you are right there and can get it done without driving somewhere else. He is worth is and always incredibly patient with me and all of my kids. I have one son who is terrified of drs. and nurses after he had a hospital stay and screams if it is ever his turn for an appointment. Dr. Gottlieb is always super patient with him and lets him calm down and works with him even though he is really difficult in the office.
Leslie M. replied:
We used Melissa Kendall at Utah Valley Pediatrics in Orem... don't know if she's still there, but we loved her! We are now at Alpine Pediatrics and have been happy with them, but I can't remember which doc we liked the most...
Holly W. replied:
I have never felt in better hands than with Orem branch of Utah Valley Pediatrics located at the Timp Hospital plaza. Laurie Anderson is my all time favorite. Jeff Abram, PA at Alpine Peds in Pleasant Grove (by the hospital). He is just amazing - that is all. Him being thorough and knowledgeable led to our daughter being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Since then, he has been very sensitive and kind when I have any concerns with my other kiddos! Fabulous bedside manner, too.

We go to Dr. Robert Christensen at the Saratoga springs familiy medicine clinic (same building as the InstaCare in SS). He's a family practice doctor and we love him. He takes way more time and helps so much more than any pediatrician we've been to. We used to go to alpine pediatrics but I'm not a fan of them anymore.
HollyandCory B. replied:
We LOVE Dr. Robert Christensen.
Misha B. replied:
Thank you for all of the advice. We choose Dr. McCune and like him a lot.
Cristina A. replied:
Dr. McCune
Danielle P. replied:
I have gone to all the doctors at Alpine Peds in the Saratoga office, and seen Dr Christensen and Dr Coy at the Saratoga Springs clinic in the instacare building, and just had my coat appointment with Dr. Mccune at Utah Valley Peds. Alpine seems much more for people who want to tell the doctor what to do and what they want. They didn't help me the way I liked but some people like them. The family doctors at that clinic have been great and I really like them, but they didn't have the resources I needed for behavioral things. Dr. McCune was very helpful with this kind of thing. He was clear in explaining pros and cons of medication and making his recommendations for what I can do from here.
Alison M. replied:
Dr McCune in Saratoga Springs behind Smith's.

My whole family goes to Dr. Christensen. He's at the IHC family practice at the InstaCare in Saratoga. We love him. I used to take my kids to alpine peds. but after horrible experiences we switched and we've never looked back. Can anyone recommend a nearby pediatrician that doesn't gloss over/dismiss issues but truly does try to diagnose an issue?
Daniel B. replied:
Dr McCune is great.
Melinda T. replied:
Dr. McArthur at Alpine Peds. I love him and helped us work to get our baby on track. Our baby had failure to thrive for an unknown reason and after many months we were able to get some answers. (Needed a very special formula to help him gain). I just want to also say that it only took months because we had to try things for a few weeks at a time before we could say it didnt work.
Hannah K. replied:
Utah Valley Pediatrics for sure. Started out with a small concern, to find a big problem. It all started with them listening to how I felt, and taking action instead of pushing it aside like there's no issue. We went to McCune, and we loved him. Dr. Ellertson came and we loved him even more! But he's at another office now.:( Definitely try to get in with McCune!
