I know this isn't strictly a "pathways" topic, but am I the only resident that likes biking to restaurants and pubs? I'm getting really bothered by the lack of bicycle...

You, my friend, need to connect with the Lansing Bike Party. https://www.facebook.com/groups/lansingbikeparty/ Yes, the dirth of bike parking at restaurants, pubs, cafes, really most businesses, is appalling. I've talked to many business owners and am getting really tired of the usual response "We don't own the property; our landlord makes all the decisions about such things." Well, I'm pretty sure that if they really thought they'd make more $$ by providing bike racks they'd make it happen. I think it's a lack of understanding of how many customers they have who'd appreciate bike parking. The more people mention it the better!

You need to get out more Jeff! Yes, there was a huge research project done just in the past couple years about the benefits of bicycling to the Michigan economy. "The 2014 report finds that bicycling provides an estimated $668 million per year in economic benefit to Michigan's economy, including employment, retail revenue, tourism expenditure, and increased health and productivity."
