We've used Town and Country out there for years.

Eastwood, love Dr. Smyka. Like Snow but she's $$$$$.
Megan M. replied:
Dr Smyka at Eastwood is awesome. I just had to take my kitty there yesterday for a tail injury. I love that she involves me in my animals care
Eric L. replied:
Upon moving to Eaton Rapids, we went to Eastwood twice. I took our Bostons there the first time. My wife took them the second. We both shared similar experiences (staff was crotchity at best, and office didn't seem sanitary). We then went to Dr. Snow. Three years later, we have been happy with her services!
Tammy B. replied:
Town & Country Animal Hospital, they are very good and really care about your pet. I took my dog in last week and they called today and asked how she's doing.
Emily P. replied:
Snow vet place on m99 near party store. Grdat vet. Even when we put my dog down, she was able to spread her ashes on a farm and get a ceramic piece of our dog's paw print.
Tammie D. replied:
best is Dr. Snow and her staff. They are great. We love them.
We are new to town and looking for vet reccomendations.
Tom A. replied:
Dr. Snow at snow animal health care or Dr. Rebecca Smyka at Eastwood are top notch. You can’t lose with either one. I have had occasion to use both.

Eastwood vet, they actually put them to sleep and then give them the shot that stops their heart. That way they don't suffer at all. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am back with Rollie from Waverly Animal Hospital and I am so glad I went there. I called before I went and they were waiting for him when I arrived. They took X Rays, but they didn't show anything. They are treating it like a disk issue. He is on 5 meds and is resting comfortably now. Thanks to all who have been concerned and helped.
Rebecca S. replied:
Lansing vet clinic on Jolly is permanently closed
Crystal S. replied:
When you call Dr. Draypek's number on weekends the voice-mail suggests going to MSU small animal clinic. They have a 24 hour emergency clinic and very good staff there, but it is quite a drive.
Does anyone have experience with Snow Animal Health Care or Eastwood Veterinary Hospital? I'm looking for a vet and need recommendations. Thank you!

Jeff O. replied:
Vinegar can be an effective dog ear cleaner that may be used for the periodical cleaning of wax or even to eliminate ear infections. The vinegar can clear the wax produced in the dog’s ears and eliminate possible bacteria or mites that could reside and thrive in this moist environment. Vinegar Benefits Vinegar is also known as acetic acid and is an ingredient that is a great cleaner, dissolving ear wax and killing also parasites or possible bacteria. Apple cider vinegar may be equally helpful. The vinegar should always be diluted when used in the dog’s ears, so as not to hurt the ears, which can be sensitive. Using Vinegar for Ear Cleaning Vinegar can be used for ear cleaning purposes to replace other commercial ear drops. The vinegar may have similar effects as other ear cleaners and is a solution that is available for anyone. Vinegar can be employed as a regular ear cleaner and applied on a weekly basis when performing the grooming of the dog, but may also be used when the dog has various ear infections. The acetic acid can restore the normal pH in the ears if there are bacterial or fungal infections. The vinegar will have to be mixed with water (1 part vinegar, 1 part water) and applied with an eye dropper or a syringe. However, it is important that the dog’s ears are intact (i.e. the ear drum is not perforated, which may happen if the dog’s ears are affected by an infection or parasites). If the ear drum is not intact, the vinegar may cause internal damage or loss of hearing, as it is an acidic substance. The vinegar may also be mixed with peroxide, which can also help in the cleaning of the ear.
Where is a 24 hour vet clinic i can take my dogs??? Ive called a few places and no answers. Theyre seizing out really bad

Janine W. replied:
My personal opinion is that MSU Vetinary Clinic is reasonable in their pricing. They really have come down on pricing in the last 7 yrs to become more competitive with vets that are on call. My Aunt just took her furbaby there on CHRISTMAS DAY (we all thought she was going to need the Armor truck to deliver the payment ), but they charged her only $500.00 for several X-rays, blood work, and other medical needs. Not bad, because i was thinking 3 to 5,000.00. They do charge a flat 135.00 fee to be seen, then whatever else they order to help treat your furbabies. Saying prayers for you and your furbabies!

Comprehensive Animal Hospital on MLK Dr Bola is my vet and he is WONDERFUL!! Good Luck!!
Ruby A. replied:
MSU is the only one I know of but they suck. My dog was weak and not eating. They hydrated him and xrayed his stomach charged me $400 and said I needed to leave him overnight for an ultra sound on his belly that would cost $1200. I took him to Eastwood Vet the next day and Dr. Holmberg said sounds like heart worms, did the test and sure enough. So they wanted me to spend $1600 on stuff unrelated and it really only took a $30 test to figure out the issue. And $375 to cure him.
