Have had 4 acl tears and reconstructions (2 for me and 2 for my soccer kids) with McBride Clinic, all done by Dr. Holden. He's pretty amazing.
Theara O. replied:
Dr Cuppens did a great job with my son when he was injured in a wrestling match. Sounds like there are a few Dr. options for you. Cuppens has two clinics he works out of and manages to see my son very quickly. I did mention to the receptionist that my son went to school with his kids. Lol
Angela M. replied:
I am not a fan of McBride my niece played basketball for DC we first went to MCBride they put her in a boot and said nothing was wrong even releases her to go back to playing! Her ankle continued to swell and swell after every game, come to find out when the injury happened she chipped her ankle bone and it was jagged and every time she played it was tearing up her ankle! We sought a second opinion from DR. Cuppens, with the same MRI results that McBride did and she had to have ankle surgery she missed most if her Sophmore season but is now 100%, and is playing college basketball on a scholarship!

I worked at McBride Clinic for 7 years and my mom for 22 years. They have some great doctors. Some dr's specialize in specific areas or are better in others, so depending on what your problem is is who I would recommend.
Lauren D. replied:
I second John Anderson for pediatric orthopedic. Durning football season they have a Saturday morning clinic so call Orthopedic Associates if you need to get a kid in this morning.

Tricia P. replied:
I veto Dr. Anderson. His bedside manner for children is something I would expect from an intern. Try Dr. David Holden, McBride orthopedics. Take it from a nurse. I know what to look for in doctors.
Monica R. replied:
Dr. Janssen at McBride.
Emily E. replied:
Dr. Saxton at McBride. Just went to him and very pleased with bedside manner and his aggressiveness to figure out what's going on with my knee.
We really like Dr. Coupens but we can't get in to see him. He's our preference but looking for an alternative.
Michelle M. replied:
Dr Greg Zeiders is wonderful. Highly recommend him

Dr. John Anderson at Orthopedic Associates is wonderful! He did my daughter's surgery and we still follow up with him as she continues to grow.
Has anyone else experienced a dislocating kneecap with thier chi? Lexi just started exhibiting signs of this and the vet said her kneecap gets out of socket and then...
Because R. replied:
The average is that 1 out of every 3 chi will have knee problems and need knee surgery in their lifetime. The rescue used Dr. Benham and Dr. Hines at Wedgewood vet clinic on N.W. expressway. They do ALL of our knee surgeries which is several every month! And they are reasonable. The surgery center on Memorial runs about 1500. to 1700. and they are much less..........under !000.
