I'm curious about chiropractors for dogs. Does anyone have any experience either good or bad? I have a very large dog that has sporadic mobility issues in his back which...

I use kregg Griffith from Norman. He does excellent job and is good with stretching and finding muscles that are knotted up. 405-408-2669

Kreg Griffith at Health Source Chiropractic in Norman does animals, including dogs. Give him a call,... Looks like Bryan and I cross posted.
Michelle L. replied:
Thank you all very much for the recommendations. It sounds like Dr. Duree comes highly recommended. It's great to know she has large breed experience Susan McClintick and while I know it may not completely resolve the problem, any improvement would be great. He's still a young dog at 5 and I want to help improve his mobility as much as possible now.
Melissa P. replied:
After my Tiggs got his adjustment yesterday I got a tongue bath this morning from an extremely happy and feeling good Boston Terrier. AL thanks to Dr. Willa Duree

My dog goes to Dr Willa Duree once a month when she comes to town at A1 Pet Emporium. She is great. Cost for 1 st time dog evaluation and treatment is $70, after that treatments are $50. My dog has improved her quality of life thru these treatments. Next time Dr Duree will be in Edmond is 10/2 at the Edmond A1. Her phone to make appt is 275-6363
Susan M. replied:
I take my 10 yr old Swissy to see Dr Duree when she is at the Canine Sports Academy on the second tues of the month. She has been seeing her for two years now. And she loves her. Swissies are large breed and she was having issues getting up and down to the point I bought her a help up harness. After seeing her I haven't had to use the harness yet. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a miracle cure. She still has her old dog moments. No matter where you go make sure they are aware of your dogs diagnoses. You might look into acupuncture also. I have never used it but I know several swissy owners that have on dogs with spin issues.

My cousin from Kansas City has been a chiropractor for animals for many years and she recommended Dr. Willa Duree. She has done amazing things with my fluff ball.
I guess I need recommendations for podiatrist with experience with runners and an orthopedic doctor for help with pain between the scapula's that doesn't go away. Thanks...
Rocky C. replied:
Dr Nicholas Plants was the podiatrist that helped out at "24 The Hard Way". For scapular pain/discomfort, it may be that your pec muscles are tight & contracted (due to being in the aero position on your bike for hours at a time). You can either have a (sports) massage therapist stretch out your pec's and/or do some muscle activation work on your rhomboids (which are overstretched b/c the pec's are tight).
I need a second opinion on my ankle. Anyone out there know of a good Sports Med. doctor or Orthopedic Surgeon in the OKC or srrounding area?

Kim L. replied:
Sorry no one posted any help for you. I had Dr. McLemore at Memorial hospital do my knee surgery and was impressed with her. Instead of doing a knee replacement, she repaired the torn tendon. There are several other good orthopedic surgeons in with her. Hope he does well.
Joe H. replied:
http://www.ortho-ok.com/dr-joseph-grillo best in state for foot, if not country... Orthopedic Institute of Oklahoma is a doctor owned, a one stop shop. They fixed three different screw ups with Mother from Memorial the first time... As someone who practiced in Lawton for over 40 years told me: "All the good doctors in Lawton are visiting or buried here..." I witnessed a woman being brought into surgery who hadn't walked in over a year. They had her up an walking the next day. Blue Cross and Medicare paid 100% of the bill.
Marnia D. replied:
Thanks Kim Stafford Loehr and Joe Hagler. We found that it is too high to be considered a 'ankle' injury and have gone with Dr. Kirk at CCMH ortho. It's going to be a long road....
