We used Carmax Consulting Inc. as we started with Ikea product for the kitchen cupboards. Did new flooring on two levels and new electrical on upper floor (14 LED potlights). Extremely happy, but there is a cost associated with someone else project managing the reno. As I was here the whole time, and saw the carefully choreographed trades coming in and out, barely losing a day along the way.....I knew that it was worth it!! We LOVE our reno and the quality of the work done. The recommendations by Justin were spot on - in determining the extent of some of the work. Glad we listened to him.

I recommend End of the Roll. They have local installers and a name to back them up. They can even order in stuff they don't carry.

I second BFC on 99 th. A really great product with a good wear layer is Mannington Adura Maxx vinyl plank. Armstrong also has nice vinyl planks with good wear layers as well.
yamahsaurusRex replied:
I'd recommend starting at bfc flooring. You'll get good information and have plenty of options to choose from. Also, LVP is awesome. I installed it in my last place, and then my SIL's after she saw my new floors. But...right on the basement slab? You're not worried about how cold your feet will be?

Carpet Superstore and End of the Roll are the two best places for selection and are going to give the the best pricing around, from what I have found. Both have decent pricing on installation. And both places have a huge selection that they can order in within a few days. Carpet Superstore "tends" to be a bit cheaper then end of the roll, So I usually go to them first.

I've done other projects where we installed LVP over a cork (or rubber) layer that can serve as cushion, insulation, and sound reduction. Could be a direction for you.

TRC Distribution is an excellent company (location: North Edmonton). They have hardwood and cork flooring. I would suggest you check a few of these places listed on this thread, get some quotes, and take it to TRC to see if they can match or beat the prices.
