I've been going to Dr. Wayne Gavino for years. Dilantin has controlled my seizures with no side effects or problems.
Speaking as a mom of a son who has a seizure disorder, you should be having testing but also be on something to try to prevent another seizure. I highly recommend Dr Ghumra in Elgin.

I would recommend going to an Epilepsy Clinic, the one at Rush Medical Center is amazing. Most neurologists treat neurology in general, if you really want to get to the root of the problem go see experts in the treatment of epilepsy. Northwestern and Loyola also have epilepsy clinics, my experience was with Rush.

Ditto above.....we see dr Jessica Templer at northwestern downtown....she is a seizure specialist.

You qualify to be part of the Illinois Medical Cannabis program. Receiving the right THC/CBD regimen can greatly reduce your seizures to the point of non-existant. https://www.facebook.com/1780406198862228 Entourage Clinical Services, Inc. Dr Sebastian Guman at Sherman Hospital. In the pain management clinic. I used to work there and they take public aid. You just need to make sure you have the right Medicaid plan. It might take a while for you to get in and you would need a doctor referral.
