Best vet in Ellesmere Port plz ladies and gents? Need my 12 week old kitten neutered but want him looking after!
'Fran D. replied:
Both our cats were neutered at 4 months with no problems we have a brother and sister and female cats can come into season at 3 months so it was essential we had them done young From the pdsa website .... When is the best time to get my female cat neutered (spayed)? The operation should usually be done at four months of age (but can safely be done when your cat is younger or older). Kittens can get pregnant from four months of age and many people do not realise that brothers and sisters will produce kittens if they live together unneutered. If kittens are neutered later than four months, some will have an unwanted litter – this is contributing to a cat population crisis in the UK. Kittens have traditionally been neutered at six months of age, but veterinary guidance has changed to reflect latest evidence and neutering at four months is now recommended. Ask your vet when the best time is for your cat. For help finding a vet practice that neuters kittens at four months in your area visit this website www.cats.org.uk
'Fran D. replied:
Lindsey Powell jacks that's who neutered ours I took them for their jabs at 10 weeks she said bring them back next week for neutering then in 3 weeks for their boosters I was shocked I thought it was 6 months so hadn't budgetted for it, (that and the fact we were told they were both girls and we thought as they are house cats we'd be able to leave them till after Christmas), so we got them done as soon as we could they were 20 weeks old but we could have had them done 9 weeks earlier and I have to say they recovered really quickly our more recent addition was neutered at aardvark at 9 months (another house cat ) and took a while 24 hours to even come from under our bed, eat anything and use the tray don't know if that was age or the vet but I've never had a cat neutered so old or had one take so long to recover

Hi looking for recommendations for a vet for my dog, I've had good recommendations for Aardvark but also heard about Animal Trust. Does anyone know what the prices are...
Robert B. replied:
We used Animal Trust last week. Fitted me in straight away. Full consultation carried out which was free I was quoted £27 by another vet just to look at my dog with medication on too which was more expensive than Animal trust, very thorough and medication administered which was very reasonable in lines with prices found on the internet.:)
Nicole M. replied:
We have never paid for a consultation at Aardvark Vets, only a registration fee which I think is about £27. I've always had my dogs here, the Vets are fantastic, really nice. Had some very difficult times here & Ivan one of the Vets has been fantastic. Always remembers us, we aren't just a number ☺️
Susannah O. replied:
Ivan and Pete from Ardvarks are brilliant and so kind
