I have one other suggestion but idk if he's still taking patients. Dr. David McClone (or it might be spelled McLone) is a pediatric neurosurgeon at what is now Lurie Children's Hospital. He did many many shunt revisions on me from about age 3 to 21. Again a really great guy and an excellent surgeon

I have heard others talk about Cincinnati Childrens Hospital they work with mayfield Chiari Center but I don't know of a specific dr for peds.

I live in southern OH, Cincinnati. We have an incredible facility here - The Mayfield Clinic. They have a team if neurosurgeons that specialize in Chiari Malformation in adults and children. The head of the team is Dr. Tew. You can check them out on their website.

Dr Alen Cohen. He is the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at the Childrens hospital of Boston which has the country's #1 peds neurosurgery program. He operated on my son at 18 months and we had a great outcome and no complications.
