I don't know where to board (haven't needed to since our last experience which was terrible) and I don't want this to turn into a hate post, but I have to BEG you not to use County Line Boarding (literally on the snohomish county line) on behalf of my now late Pablo. He was left in his cell (a kennel if one is being kind) 24/7 for the entire 2 weeks we were gone. He was given no opportunity to get out and stretch, or do his business, or anything else. We used them the second time because they had been awesome the first time we went there, the second time was the exact worst nightmare opposite. When we took him to get groomed (because, as a Springer Spaniel, he had long beautiful hair that was then covered in his business) right after we left the kennel, they had to call and confirm we had just been at the kennel because they thought we had been abusing him for months for him to smell as bad as he did. Please, please, please use one of these other lovely suggestions!

We've also had horrible experiences the first time we boarded our dog, he ended up ripping off both dew claws while in their care. That being said, we were very apprehensive to try boarding again. The place we use now is Cascade Kennels in Woodinville, they have great discounts for first time customers, I felt much more at ease with our boy in their care than I did the original boarding. http://cascadekennels.com

What is the information on your dogs, generic informations and then their reactivity information. I have a lot of experience with reactive dogs, and specifically with being in a home with reactive dogs. I house sit for two families regularly, both with different management protocols and training implemented. Lise at https://www.facebook.com/440518765966251 Paws Afoot Dog Training and Dog Walking could possibly have other resources for a house sitting business who work with reactive dogs as well.

For sure at least get a second opinion; if there's no underlying medical issue that would complicate the surgery, there shouldn't be ANY reason to not be able to do the spay/neuter. It's a very common, basic surgery which I'm shocked any vet would discourage. Agreed with Tina, Perrinville Animal Hospital or Cedar Plaza Vet Clinic are excellent options for a second opinion. Please look into it before accepting the poor opinion of one vet.:)
