Pest Control/Exterminators in Fairbanks, AK

Last year Patty said they called an exterminator for their house (had a serious carpenter ant problem, said it sounded like rain when she put her ear to the floor, and they poured out when she opened it up) and she told me they used a backpack sprayer to spray permethrin around the outside of the house and that did the trick (but was pretty pricey). Matt and I purchased a small sprayer and ordered some permethrin concentrate and have had success spraying ourselves. If you decide to try that route, we've got a lot of the chemical left. I'm not sure there are any here in Fbks. Buy a huge jug of the insect spray at Home Depot. Take all pets to another location. Spray the perimeter inside and out. (The liquid can damage Sheetrock and cheap compressed crap trim) Let dry. Do this spring and fall. If you have a crawl space be sure to spray up into the floor joists/ etc down there. You can buy a paint suit and respirator at Home Depot too if you are spraying above your face in a crawl space.
