Every dentist in town is amazing! You can't go wrong!

i can tell you who to stay away from. Stay away from First Choice Dental. They always seem to find something that needed to be corrected with my teeth. A cavity here, a special procedure there. They are constantly trying to upsell you on some procedure or treatment. I switched to Dental Health Associates and love them. They have been excellent.

My wife was a dental assistant until I babied her up. When we moved to madison 10 yrs ago she did a bunch of research cuz it was her opinion that most dentists are shit. We went with Brent killian in middleton even though were far East side. His dad works there too, idk about him.

DHA is good - I've had good experience with Dr. Fard at the University clinic. Dr. Andler (not with DHA) on the West side is amazing! He doesn't do full orthodontics but does Invisalign. ETA: both places will give you estimates before any major work is done.

Radiant Smile on Cottage Grove road. Dude has THE highest tech equipment money can buy. He pulled an upper wisdom tooth out and did such a good job I was eating normal food again pain free 2 days later.

I go to Associated Dentists on the west side and LOVE them. Really nice building, super friendly and non-judgmental staff. I've also heard good things about No Fear Dentistry.

I went to First Choice for around 5 years. They were OK, but it felt like I always had a different hygenist/dentist each time. Decided to switch dentists to Dr. Scott Andler when I looked into doing Invisalign, and I've been really happy with him. I already feel like I know him and his staff better after 4 months than at 5 years at First Choice.

Stay far away from Total Care Dental. They were more interested in upselling me on dental care I did not even need than they were just taking care of my teeth. Smile Solutions recommended an extraction of a tooth that ended up having a very small cavity. Too bad I found out after the extraction.
Need suggestions for inexpensive dentist I need two crowns, the last place I went to is the one that always advertises in the paper "cheap crowns" but they ended up...

I go to Madison Family Dental. I had 2 crowns done in March for $1290/each. One required a build up...that was additional $340. I have been seeing Dr. Veerman for years. She understands my funds are limited so I cannot get all the work I need right away. The billing people also work well with my insurances. I have many crowns and have not had a problem with any of them. (I have terrible teeth.)

I see Dr Fard at [Dental Health Associates](http://www.dhamadison.com/doctors/dr-rambod-fard). He's done really well with my crowns and I believe the last one I had was around $1200. I don't have dental insurance so paid everything out of pocket. He let me go about 6 months with a temp crown until I could afford to have the perm crown put on.

As someone who has gone to a cheap dentist, I don't recommend it. Got a cheap (ish) crown and it came off a year later. Then got a crown from a more expensive (and I believe better) dentist and it's going on 6 years now. You do get what you pay for. Edit: most dentists will offer you a payment plan. Mine offers one with no interest.

I really do not think you will find more than a few dollars difference in the entire Madison area. I called around for a crown a while ago and everyone was very similar. The only difference was how much of the required procedure they were quoting.
