Possibly a good hour away too but can highly recommend Pru Harvey. She trained under Neil Forbes at Great Western Exotics and saved our bunny from some pretty dire straights. Now based in fleet - http://www.ninemilevets.co.uk/pwpcontrol.php?pwpID=3342

Sorry this is slightly off topic, but I was shocked to learn my vets, who I'd highly recommend in Lincoln, only do 4 hourly checks out of hours! Is this standard practise or does this happen in all practices? Over the weekend I had to rush my bun too Vets Now with a severe case of stasis luckily she survived (with a £533 bill) but I wanted to transfer her to my regular vets on the Sunday but the VN advised me they only do 4 hourly checks once they close at 12 pm so I kept her at vets now as she got 24 hour care. If anyone could shed some light on this I'd be grateful. Sorry again for being off topic.

I think it depends on the size of the vet practice largely. Our dog vets are quite small and have nobody to stay overnight so they either transfer to Vets Now or the vet has taken dogs home with him to look after! Our rabbit vets, GWE in Swindon as my hubby mentioned above always has a vet nurse in overnight and the vet is on call and they all live very nearby as they are also open 24/7 for emergencies. It seems unusual to not send a rabbit home after a GA as long as they're alert and stable, ours usually take a little time to eat and go to the toilet after so unless it was a major op we're always told that they'd be better off recovering at home and to monitor them closely etc
Anyone recommend a good vet in the farnborough area? Not ashworth.

That's really good. Where is The Ark vets? I've heard a few people recommend it? The only reason I go to Pet doctors is cause they are used to bigger dogs and she loves going there! Lol:)

We use Ark Vets in Connaught Rd, Fleet
Andy M. replied:
We use Tesco's, have claimed twice for Stanley with no quibbles, got everything back apart from the £50 excess. Also at the Ark vets, once you have filled in the claim form (downloadable from Tesco website) hand it in to the Ark and they fill in the technical bits and send it off for you.

Why you asking, you got another Jack Russell or something a little less snack size..haha
