The newer nissans are notorious for thermostat issues. Like Greg Decker, describe the issue a little more and whats the mileage on the vehicle. Personally I would take it to the Nissan dealer.

Flower Mound Auto Repair on 407. Step one is to ensure its full of coolant. Look under hood for a clear reservoir and it should have lines on the side "full hot" and "full cold". Make sure its between those. If not, put some bottled water in n fi to the line and see. Then the question of why was it low.

I did the same thing a few months ago except I knocked mine all the way off. Wires hanging was all I had left. We purchased the new one from Rock Auto for $88 and my husband repaired it himself! It's a power mirror and my husband is not an auto mechanic so you may try doing it yourself and saving the money!

Pro Care Collision across from the wall mart in highland village is a respected shop that if needed uses Original Parts where others will look at aftermarket first to meet preferred status with insurance companies ... I would get an estimate before hand to determine if the potential increase in premiums out ways the cost of the deductible

We just used Pro Care Collision on 407 last week, and they did a great job. Can't even tell where it was scraped. Priced fairly, too - we called around to get bids. We didn't file a claim because it was less than the deductible. It depends on your insurance company, your deductible, and what it will cost to fix it. We had State Farm and filed our first claim after being with them for over 20 years (and it wasn't a huge claim), and our premiums went up immediately. We switched to Amica and had two fairly small claims in a month shortly after we switched, and our rates never changed. Fortunately, we haven't needed it since!
Christine G. replied:
Caliber Collision or Service King. They are preferred providers on many insurance company lists. In regards to whether you should claim or not, it would depend on the amount of the claim and whether you are getting any claims free discounts. It could raise your premiums. Your best bet is to call your insurance agent.
