1. Check out Crossfit flower mound http://www.crossfitflowermound.com/ 2. Moms Inc is a group that meets every other Wed during school year. They have Kids Inc included in the program. It's not overly religious and they welcome other religions as well (we are catholic- not baptist) http://fbclewisville.org/momsinc GLECPTA is another one! https://www.meetup.com/GLECPTA-Greater-Lewisville-Early-Childhood-PTA/ 3. Commute to both are HORRIBLE during rush hour! Welcome to the burbs!!!

Just to clarify we're moving into an apartment for now until we learn more about the area and decide where to buy. The apartment is called Park Central.

It’s not close, but Metroflex gym is home to some of the biggest guys in the world. Ronnie Coleman for one. It’s dirty, old, rusty, and home to some crazy big dudes.
Juan A. replied:
1. You can search in the neighboring Lewisville area for more gym options. They seem to have more. We use Fitness Connection and happy with it...and the price. 2. I have no good info in that. 3. I commute to Dallas typically during rush hour, commute is 50 mins to 1 hour. 33 miles. I have commuted to central Fort Worth and find it much easier to go to Dallas. Unless you're in far North Fort Worth (the new part of FTW), that's not a bad drive. Best of luck!!!

Depending on when in March it is and how warm it will be, when my kids were younger, we did their birthday party at Kids Kastle in Highland Village (Flower Mound's Fort Wildflower didn't exist yet). We brought a grill and grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and just let the kids play. They all loved it. Seems like everyone thinks parties have to go somewhere, but we found our kids liked the parties they had at home or at a park the best.

If you are just looking for cardio, I think Fitness Connection is your best deal. They had a deal going for $10 a month with no crazy contract. They have a ton of machines and a newly remodeled Womens Only section. I take a couple cycle classes and body pump classes when I get a chance and have never been disappointed. The instructors are great. It is not a place I would recommend for personal training......I leave that up to Tiffany Leyva. ;-) You are welcome to join me sometime and try it out.
