I used Sheri with good dog behavior, as did someone else in my complex and she was amazing. We adopted a one yo pitbull who was a stray and had some aggression issues. She worked with us one on one@first and then we graduated to a leash training class with 6 other dogs. It helped him more than we could ever imagine. Her prices are great and Ollie absolutely loved her.

https://caninecompanionconsulting.com/ Beth and Wayne are knowledgeable, patient and kind. They helped us out a lot with our dog- really strengthened the bond with our dog and overcome some behavior issues and provided a solid training foundation. Our dog passed his Canine Good Citizen Test, has a solid recall and walks like a gentleman on the leash, all because of CCC. 10/10, strong recommend

Yay! I was just thinking that there aren't enough idiots with untrained dogs in Fort Collins! I mean, yeah they're considering closing ONE dog park, but I think we can do more. Once again, the unlimited diarrhea of people moving here provides!

Hi, we are looking for a group dog training class on Sundays. Any recommendations ?
Heather H. replied:
I don't do group training but American Dog School is up there and Owner Tami is a very talented trainer. They are on the web http://americandogschool.com/site/ . Other than that I'm don't know who is open on Sunday's. Maybe PetsMart?

Full Circle Vet has a trainer- I believe Milliken Vet also has a trainer-
Can anyone recommend a good dog trainer that comes to the house ?
Sarah S. replied:
Hi Michelle, I haven't had a chance to try this yet, although it is on my list. My friend used http://www.k9 wisdomtraining.com and just raves about how great Cathy is.

Julie Yamine is the owner at Canine Learning Center, which is where I took Baron and she has classes there, but you may want to give her a call to see if she has any instructors who would be willing to train at your house. It is a wonderful place and I would never take any of my dogs anywhere else. She also is a behaviorist that I have taken some of the rescues to who have had problems. Good luck.
Dog trainer recommendation I’m looking for a dog trainer. I can’t seem to figure out leash walking with my dog.

Summit Dog Training. I volunteer for a Shiba rescue and we use them all the time. They're really good.

*Not a trainer*, however, my understanding is that you hold a loose short lead and each time the dog tries to extend the lead you immediately turn around and start walking the other way. Also, Larimer County Humane Society used to have puppy classes which is essentially training for the humans. You could contact them.

I have had a great experience with Jess and Cullen at Fort Collins Dog Wizards. They cater the training to what your dog needs and are very helpful with the process. I have a older lab that had anxiety and dog aggression issues and he is like a whole new pup, confident and obedient.

Amber at Www.summitdogtraining.com does fantastic work and focuses on positive reinforcement training. It did wonders for my dog who was considered nearly unadoptable when i got her

Google Ashley Foster she used to do classes out of south Mesa vet off Mason. She's a dog behaviorist and really helped me out with my Aussie rescue a few years ago.

[Canine Companion ](https://www.caninecompanionconsulting.com/). We have been using these guys and it has been good. One dog has a lot of behavior problems, and we didn't want to do a class setting. They come to our house, and are here about an hour, maybe a little more. I think we got 3 appointments for about $300. They will work with your schedule too. They do obedience classes at Pet Supply Plus as well, which was good for our other dog.

I can highly recommend Dr Jennie Willis at http://animalbehaviorinsights.com/ She's been working in Ft Collins for years, has her PhD in Animal Behavior, teaches at the Vet School. Very scientific approach.
